I think he wants an actual 'reset button' not a manual change To be honest, I can't even remember what the original colors looked like myself.
What does Gnome Bribery do if you already have all 8 Ultra Hats? Does it give you 50,000 Punchos in exchange for your 150,000? Speaking of which, is the Puncho reward you get for fully leveling a gnome (once you already have all the Ultra Hats) affected by the Puncho doubler?
Can someone explain "the final hat" boost to me? Does my hat have to fall off first and then I get a 60 hit combo to replace it?
So I was thinking this morning about the monetization and premium features of this game. As amazing as the game is, from what I've heard the monetization isn't working so well. I've been working in the free-to-play industry for years, so I think I have some ideas on how to improve things here. Maybe these have already been mentioned - haven't looked at all the posts. As I see it, the primary reason to purchase punchos is to re-roll the hats. Of course, there are the high end upgrades as well, but these are one time purchases. The long-term source of income would be the re-rolling and the bonus gifts when making purchases. However, the problem is that the Hat of Legends upgrade only provides a 20% chance of getting the skill. For a 50,000 puncho cost, this a pretty low chance. Generally when you want people to spend money on IAP, you need to provide a guaranteed return. The only guarantee is a different type of hat (not counting the skill), but I'm guessing many people won't find this worth the $2-5 cost. And if you don't pay, 50k punchos is a really high cost (I earn maybe 300-500 punchos per game, so it would take me over 100 games for just one low success rate chance at just a level 1 skill). I see a couple of alternatives for this situation: 1) Make it so that the re-roll definitely gets you a skill (but the cost is more - maybe 70k) - it's just a matter of what level of skill. Maybe 80% of the time, it's a level 1, 18% of the time, it's a level 2, and 2% of the time, it's a level 3. 2) Use a tiered success chance. If you purchase the re-roll for 10,000 punchos, you get 10% chance of getting the level 1 skill, purchase for 20k and get 20% chance, etc. all the way up to 100k gets you 100%. In fact, you could combine the two options as well. This way, people know if they spend, they get something for it. It also gives those who don't spend more of a chance at getting it, and increases the chance of converting them to spend. For example, someone may save up to 20k for a chance and not get it, then decide to try again at 60K. But half way there, he decides it's taking too long, so he spends $2 for the rest, spends the 60K and gets the skill. Voila! You've just converted a nonbuyer into a buyer. The way it is now though, nonbuyers don't have much incentive to spend because the likelihood of getting the skill is so low.
Just pick the first colour in each palette, and you're at defaults. LCDDreams, good insights... we're discussing some of those.
Got to 207k today, my best yet! And I suck at action games haha Every time I have app updates and none of them are Punch Quest, I'm sad
We submitted the update on Monday, so it'll hit next week some time. Then we'll submit the final update by the end of November.
So I finally leveled a gnome. He gave me a wizard hat. On the equip screen it shows a fist icon next to the item name that glows with rotating arrows. Does it do anything special? Or it's just a regular hat?
I love the idea of 10,000 punches for a 10% chance of skill, 20,000 for 20%, etc. Really quite elegant!
Haven't given up yet and I am getting nearer... Already reached level 13 and 3 of 10 master foes. So i will keep trying.
Yeah just keep it up. At first I found it to be quite hard to get that far myself. Now I can't imagine I actually found that hard, reach level 15 nearly every game, and the last time I got the 10 master foes quest I completed it in one run. The only quest I really ever skip is the 200 kills in one game. Looking at my total stats that's a good thing, since I still haven't managed that once yet.
I never did a quest skip, but that mission may get that treatment... had it for a loooong time and its killing my progress... too many users here skipped it already, so its time for me too....
I've been trying to get past the level 15 quest, the 100 hit combo quest and the 200 foe quest for 3 days now! CURSES!
You poking fun at us since those are EXACTLY the ones we have the most trouble with? xD Noooooo. I thought the new system was helping.
