I feel like this is going to be a real problem – the odds of me getting a hat I am actually happy with appear to be about zero.

I think that that is the problem. I am not able to get past level 10 or 11. I tried it maybe 50 - 75 times with different combinations of skills etc. and every time I am dead when reaching level 10 or 11. Maybe I have to give up

 

You can also skip it by buying the mission with coins

 

It's only a problem if you run out of PUNCHOS.

 

Run out of punchos---> punch stuff with a vegeance---> ride a dinolazer---> smash bees as a gnome---> ????---> punch some more,just to be sure---> profit

 

Haha. Just my luck. I rarely encounter bugs. But the one I was fortunate enough to get was the "complete mission, no reward" bug. And right on the 200 combo challenge. The most difficult challenge for me and the first time I actually managed to succeed.

I was thinking about buying the skip quest, but I am afraid I will have to keep doing that then. I also have the quest "Reach level 15" running at the same time.

He means you need to get more punchos to buy the skip quest boost. I would suggest you skip the level 15 quest as well. It is even harder.

 

I had to skip the level 15 one too. That's hard.

 

It's the bug where if you complete three simultaneous missions it only awards you the first one and resets the other two.

And the other mission was reach level 15. The one time I actually completed it. But that one didn't hurt as much as the combo mission. xD

 

I wonder what the success/skip rate for various quests is, and if Madgarden is able to track that. I skipped the level 15 one the first couple times, and the 100 hit combo a couple times, and I still usually skip "200 enemies in one game". Anyone have any tips for that one? Other than maybe Gnome Party?

 

once u get dull pain with your ultra hat... those quests are easier to complete

 

We still haven't tracked this down. So either it's really rare/only affects some people, or we accidentally fixed it somehow already.

Submitted a new update yesterday, by the way. Lots of tweaks/bugfixes, and also adds three new powers and a bee mask mystery item. Madgarden's twitter had some pictures I think.

 

Do I understand it correctly from that that skipped quests return after some time ?

 

Even if you do they will come back
I only skip the 200 foes one game, its hard x.x
For the combo i get it easy with husk musk shildbuster and shodukin

 

is there a way to reset the hair/color combinations to what the character originally had?

 

Oh man. Well, fingers crossed it was accidentally fixed.

 

Yeah, 200 foes and 15 torches in one game are the ones I skip. Level 15 isn't so bad. Husk Musk makes it easier.
