S I'm having trouble with the iCloud sync. It simply doesn't work. I am only able to play the game on my iPhone, as every time. I load it up on my iPad it hasn't updated the iCloud information. I have 7000 money on my iPhone and only a couple hundred on my iPad, and none of the stuff I've unlocked on my iPhone are unlocked on my iPad. I checked my iCloud backup, and even though I have the game set to backup the info to iCloud, there is no record of it in my backup. Anybody have an answer? I want to play this on my big screen iPad!
Make sure you're going in to "Punch stats" on the main menu and clicking on "Options" in the top right corner and then clicking "Cloud sync" on both devices (in your case iPhone first then iPad). FYI - It'll only sync things you've unlocked, not your money.
Are both devices using the same Apple ID? Maybe try logging out in settings and logging back in. Also, open the iCloud settings, and look under Storage & Backup/Manage Storage... do you see a "Backups" at the top? If so, go into that backup and make sure that PunchQuest is enabled.
autorotation hey Madgarden, Thanks for the update ,but I think you got the rotation part wrong ! ,I meant that I couldn't play in landscape while the autorotation was disabled in iOS itself !! Which hasn't changed in this update!
That is more ios's fault I think. At least on an iPhone turning on the rotation lock locks the phone in portrai mode (try it with any other app and you see the same behavior).
Just updated, and now it crashes at startup. iPhone 4, iOS 5, played just fine before the update, now nothing. Rebooted with same result, only app running. Gets a brief "Loading" shot, black screen then back to home. Any ideas?
Yes, we've been discussing the bug, and it's fixed and the emergency bugfix update is awaiting approval now.
I'm basically looking into all of these outstanding issues before I even start on the new content for update #3. Cleaned up a lot of stuff already. Yeah, the lock can be improved, it's mainly aimed at those who don't have rotation lock set, but want it locked to an orientation while playing... it will snap to that rotation. But yes, will look into just forcing the orientation.
I do this and every time on both devices it says "retrieved 0 new items". Also, I am logged in to the same iCloud, have it enabled to backup iCloud on both devices... Also, why on earth wouldn't it sync money? That's simpler to do than syncing unlocks...
I like how I can easily see which of my idols are the pure ones now. I could have sworn I had these before, but after I downloaded the update, my stats showed that I had several of them already. Also, it seems that some of the stats in the "totals" section are off. It seems to track things like total amount of torches or rocks smashed, then further down, it lists the best amount of torches or rocks smashed in a single game. It shows that my best for a single game is the same number as the total smashed. Also, "Best Hyper-Fighting" has been locked at -2 for as long as I can remember. Lastly, call me crazy, but were any tweaks made to how points are earned during a run? Either I'm all cracked out from playing this non-stop, or something's changed. Same setup and everything, and I am struggling to break 200K now. Pre-patch, I averaged 180K to 220K, but it seems more difficult to rack my score up, with the same loadout, techniques, etc.
The pure idols are super easy to see on the list now. If you have one, you can't miss it. Also yay, just got my first pure idol this morning.
How do you get an ultra hat? I have yet to get any hats, other than ones purchased. One, Bat, from the coin doubler purchase, and one I bought (fedora) with coins. Also, I don't see a restore purchases option. I bought the coin doubler on my iPad. Do I rebuy on the iPhone and it's free, or does it behave like an expendable purchase like buying coins? I don't want to pay $3 twice. Also I don't have my bat hat on the iPhone, nor the Fedora. Wait... I just found the "cloud sync" button. So now I've got bat mask and Fedora! Yeah! But did that get me the coin doubler?
Can someone please explain why people are excited about pure idols? What do idols do in the first place?
What do you mean, "it will level up"? Do you have to have a hat on and than that hat levels up? Because until I bought the coin doubler I didn't have any hats.
the only way to level up the gnome is to do quests.. hats don't level up. When you pause the screen you see what quests you have to do and there is a little status bar next to the gnome which indicates his level
