I've punched the Temple Run idol, Nimble Bit bitizen idol and now the Creeps ghost idol... but none of them appear in my idol collection
Does using Ki Chain not count? That's how I'm trying to do it and I get 100% every time, even though I know I'm seeing two guys go down with one punch.
also you guys notice after each time play, if you skip the results screen and play again, the quests you finished won't give you credit til you let the progress bar load?
Those are statues, not idols. How are you getting up to the Ki chain? It's easiest to get in the first punch you throw. If you don't get it in one, restart and try again. Don't skip. It'll be fixed in a future update.
So what I just run into the first guy until he backs into another guy, then punch? I'll give it a try. Edit: Yay, got it. Thanks. I was trying way too hard
Thanks WooHooII! Some people have expressed concern that the devs aren't seeing money for this but I think the Hat of Legend system will suck people in. Especially after the update that makes Ultra Hats easier to get, I bet this game climbs top grossing list quickly.
Yea. I've already bought the cheapest iap twice to support them, and get the special masks ; ) Love ur guys iap system with all your games. Don't mind supporting good game devs. Especially with all the junk freemium games out there. Namely gameloft. They put out some good games but ruin them with their pay to play strategy. Glad u guys never went down that path. Can't wait for Mage Dungeon!
sorry to burst your bubble... But Punchquest has actually (gasp) dropped in the top free games; from 23 (last I checked) to where it currently sits at 30. Don't know why, or how it dropped.
Anyone know why my scores are saving to local instead of Game Center? Game Center connection seems ok.
This game is amazing! I'm absolutely addicted to this game, but I have one suggestion that I think would add even more replayability to the game - Add an option to start a game with a random shuffle of skills out of the ones you have unlocked, or make that an option only once you have unlocked all skills. I think it would make it possible to discover some great random combinations you would not have discovered otherwise, and add an extra element of surprise to each new game. Just a thought!
That's pretty much what the quests already accomplish anyway. As you play through the second gnomey onwards, the quests are randomized and you get all kinds of combinations of quests that require you to use skill X or skill Y. I've discovered my current favorite combo thanks to the randomness of the missions and consistently finding new ones that work.
I've got a question - sorry if it's been answered already. I've been playing for 1 hour 20 minutes or so now, and my gnome is still only level 18. How on earth are people getting to level 100 to unlock the special hats? At the rate I'm going that'll take me forever. I know the next update is going to try and reduce the level you have to reach - but I was just interested - are people playing this game for ridiculous amounts of time or am I missing something?
I specifically aim to complete the missions on a run. I don't have any interest in the top scores, I just want the ultra hats. All I do is complete missions and stockpile cash for hat rerolls. At the moment, I'm at 14 hours played and have got two gnomeys to level 100 with a third on the way. It's a little more playtime that I expected, actually. Then again, I did leave the game idling in my pocket for half a day (darn you not auto-sleeping, Punch Quest!)
Still struggling to reach level 15. Wondering what kind of strategies people use for this, other then trying to go for high combo's of course. I've been prioritizing eggs and punch power up 'rooms' first, eggs mostly because they're free points as you can't lose health at all even if there's better scoring rooms out there. Boss rooms follow close after that, not great for points either, but they tend to be easy enough to get by without getting hit once you get the pattern down. Other rooms don't really have any preference, except for the fact that I try to avoid treasure rooms like the plague. I more often then not get myself killed on the variety of spikes and traps in those. Just keep biting it at level 11/12. Maybe just need to play a bit longer to learn how to deal with the stronger foes you get at that point.
A few things, how can you tell what level your gnomes are? Also stuck on the 101% accuracy quest, I've done what people suggest hit the first and second enemy with one punch, doesn't work. What specifically do you have to do, does the powerups make a difference? Love this game
Urthop, you might want to try something like Knuckle Circle as a super, and make sure you have unlocked all of the ULTRA variations, like ULTRA POWER, ULTRA SURVIVAL etc. For more enemies and vases (thus higher combo, score, and thus level), take the FIST branches. Perhaps DULL PAIN's extended invulnerability might help you in a pinch, combined with something like DISCOCUT or DISCODUNK. Save the EGG rooms until you're near death if you can, because it's basically free points and levelups, which means extra hearts. studepaber007, the gnome level is displayed underneath the gnome in the quest summary screen... either in the pause menu while playing, or after your game ends and the quests are summarized. There's a bar with a LVL X to the left of it at the top of the quest list.
How come in my stats, it says: Total idols found:24 But in my idols menu, the header says 23 (and I counted them)? Thanks!
Good question... are they all the same colour? Any cases where you have two of the same idol in different colours?
Nope, all 23 are different colors. I haven't found the matches or variations of any of them yet. And another thing that happens every once in a while: As I scroll down to view my idols, whether it's landscape or portrait; at times it doesn't let me scroll all the way down. It gets stuck right before the last one or last two statues, not letting me see them. I can see them if I pull the menu up and hold my finger on it, otherwise it pulls back and hides them. A restart usually fixes that though.
