Log-in to TA and catch a code for an anticipated game is lucky. Got AYYY...thanks. Though i still have unplayed new games, i never can resist a (hopefully) good and clever shooter. I'll let you know my imps later, of course.
Yep, it's F2P. There aren't any forced ads or IAP though. If you can grab a code you can check it out
You nailed the space invader-ish retro look, the sfx sounds and the relative touch controls. Though you'll never get the best scoring results, it plays wonderfully one-handed. Which enemy (carrying the powerup) you go for first adds a bit of tactic to it. I like that. As well as to chain powerups within the little time span. Unfortunately there is no fitting chiptune, *cough* none actually. Though i rather have it this way, than a too loud music (without volume slider) is covering the sfx atmosphere. The cross under the character is what for again? Get rid of this, sorry, little ugly if there's no benefit. My personal issue, i will never get a fan of one-hit-only shooters. Since my score is very low in the 500, i don't know if there might be an extra life powerup later on. At least there's a shield which acts like that. I definitely must have missed in the upcoming thread, that you're aiming for a Crossy Road-ish easy to pick up game experience with unlockable ships (200 coins or $1 each, different looking foes/shots, but only cosmetic). I was completely wrong thinking of level based gameplay with permanent rpg upgrades and stuff. My bad. Definitely worth checking out, folks. It's free, installed MB 72 only and comes with a nice icon.
Thanks for the feedback, and glad you like the icon! Icons are hard You raise a very good point with the the music. It's something we tried a bunch of different ideas with, but struggled to find a way to have good music that didn't clash with the changing speed of the game. What I'd love to do is have the game _make_ the music, but that could be something further down the line. If you've scored 500, then you've done pretty well
