Hopefully it is out today. It would be the only game I'd really be looking forward to getting. I have my eye on a couple other releases but I'm waiting for impressions first whereas this has been on my insta-buy list since the day I first caught wind of the game.

Yeah we cant release today. You need to release thursday which means it actually comes out like wed at midnight. This is all part of getting on the apple feature cycle and stuff, things we cannot afford to get wrong. Sorry
I wouldn't go as far as saying "impossible" as I've seen from Devs postings (i.e. Foursaken Media with both updates and game releases) the when they get switched to "in review" they usually release within several hours. I would hope this is the case, otherwise the Devs are holding it until next Thursday...
When you get contacted by apple about a feature, they normally ask you to release on thursday. When you set your release date to thursday in iTunes connect it comes out wed at midnight. Doing something outside of that "norm" is risky. Apple does the feature updates around noon on thursday, hence they need that time to evaluate apps that have come out. Releasing thursday afternoon\evening would mean you missed that window.
Guys...the game has not been approved yet so lets not get ahead of ourselves. When it is approved, we have to test the final version for a few days to make sure everything is working fine (believe it or not, sometimes the final version will have problems we did not encounter before).
Were almost to another promo code give away "like" level on our facebook page, so you can try to get the app early that way.

Sorry! I mean it's been a heck of a wait considering we started beta with you guys back in like April...
Whever this game is realesed I will buy it instantly I know it is taking a while but it is worth the wait just like all great games.
Thanks! We just got to look at a pre-release version of Dragon Island's first review from one of the review sites. The article is gonna be published this weekend so I'll share it then but the guy really loved it (gave us a 5/5).
