Much to my surprise, I'm in the same boat. I've never touched a Pokemon title or another like it, but something about the game is singing to me. For what it's worth, I showed the video to my son and can now look forward to a couple of weeks of 'Daddy, can I have the dragons now?' Day 1 purchase from me, and if it's 1/2 as good as it seems, you can bet I'll be telling all of my friends to pick it up. Best of luck to the devs!

I am super looking forward to this, have been hyping it to a few friends (linked to the first bit TA did on my Facebook too) and will be buying at launch. This looks great, and I can't wait to play. We need more dedication like this in this genre on ios. Btw, everyone is comparing to Pokemon, but I also get a bit of a Dragon Quest or Megami Tensei vibe. Are those inspirations as well?
Dragon Quest is, I have never played megami Tensei but I have heard many people mention it so there clearly must be similarities.
Actually, our artist (whose a Japanese guy) that did the monsters is heavily influenced by Megami Tensei. So you are spot on there!

I can believe that! How long have did the studio work on this game. Also, its quitte a leap in progress and ambition between this title and their previous puzzle-esque games, how did this change in ambition happen? One last request. Instead of giving is a code for the game...which is nice to have...but will be forgotten soon and is unrecognisable as an extra for the fans. Would it not be cool the give away some wildcard variations on the monsters? I mean, Rare colored monsters, or variations of a common type that only is possile by give away codes? That would be truly awesome. At least thats what I think.
Interesting, thats actually quite possible, but we would have to include something like that in an update. or we would have to delay the release big time . I would say update.
