Sorry for posting in main forum. No indication this was soft launch. There are some issues need sorting so I guess that figures. Hope it arrives everywhere soon as I would say their best ‘Pocket’ game yet. Unfortunately, as mentioned before, the IAP has been ramped up. Special offers and purchase icons show permanently on screen. Very disappointing, spoils the appearance. The previous games did have IAP but was invisible. It seems Pocket Trucks is made by different developers, SuperScale, who are experts in monetisation. IAPs and optional ads everywhere you look. I even mistakenly tapped on an ad while doing a delivery which was super annoying. Nimblebit made some classics back in the day. Played the heck out of Tiny Tower and Disco Zoo. Sadly, this ain’t one of them. Maybe too fair? But maybe it’s gone too far the other way now? I use to love all of their games, I only ever stopped with Tiny Tower after the golden brick stuff. Takes so long and so much time to build a tower, scrapping it all to start again with golden bricks seemed stupid to me when I enjoy building my tower and doing dream jobs etc not resetting it all arbitrarily for a bonus to extend game life when more floors would have done that anyway? Studebaker Active Member Oct 20, 2022 32 29 18 Male #8 Studebaker, Dec 18, 2023 It's a great game if you can see past the sales nonsense. I'm starting to tune all that out of my vision. Pocket Trucks keeps the simple mechanics while still being interesting, has excellent pixel graphics with each town having a background reflecting the area. The map is particularly good with instant zoom from satellite to ground. Covers whole USA so could be a long term project. Has an imaginative choice of vehicles, including unexpected ones hidden in some towns - clue - head for a destination popular with UFOs. Lot of nice details. I was initially disappointed that a horse and cart had to visit a gas station when out of energy - until the gas pump girl helpfully brought out a bale of hay for the horse. I have a new respect for American gas stations. From my point of view on the other side of the Atlantic there is an educational aspect which I think is a bonus in any game. Only had a sketchy idea of US town locations. Larger trucks can make multiple town deliveries and, after some hours play, I can plan efficient routes in my head with less reference to the map. I do know the way to San Hose. On a side note @ste86uk, it's taken 3 years, 2 minutes per day, to get 14 golden bricks in Lego Tower, though some club member friends have double that number. ste86uk likes this. Only thing so far is the screen is insanely cluttered with ads. I really hope they create an option to hide that stuff. otherwise it’s looking very promising so far. Raztog likes this.
