yeah my fingers are crossed for that one. dressing like a hobo? I'm sure I could send you some nice duds in a global priority package?
Have you guys sent messages to Josh as Crescent Moon is handling the organizing of testing side of things? Testing begins in a few days
Looks very gorgeous. Any Crescent Moon collaboration really is an event on iOS... Aralon was the first of it's kind ios rpg for sheer scope and ambition; Gears was a fantastic addition to the ball genre; Deadlock brings online team based dual stick tactical mayhem; Pocket Rpg looks like a diablo/Solomons Graveyard hybrid, while, Paper Monsters looks to be the ace platforming title for iOS) (I'm not just championing their work, the talent speaks for itself) Excited for Pocket RPG Keep up the fantastic work guys!
I like the red icon better. The blue background is too busy yet it's hard to see what it is. An issue in both is that the character seems too stereotyped, borderline racist. Of course that may be an unfair snap judgment based on a single image. But my immediate reaction was negative, that the game is caricaturing a race or group of people. I don't bring this up to criticize but to give my honest first reaction. Blink tells us that first reactions matter a lot.
I think it's mostly the exaggerated moustache. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fu_Manchu_moustache "Fu Manchus are seen in stereotypical depictions of Chinese villains in film and television."
I like the first one, but as a man with a shaved head I'm appalled and since I sometimes grow my mustache and walk around holding a large sword I believe you have used my image without permission my lawyers will contact you with details unless you decide to settle by allowing me to beta test this game to ensure you have correctly captured my warrior nature
I designed the character like that cos I myself cannot grow a marvelous mustache. Here are all 3 classes if your curious about the playable stereotypes
For some reason, the three-quarters head view in the icon bothers me a lot more than the straight-on full-body view in the image above that has been posted before. Perhaps just because there is *so* much emphasis on the exaggerated moustache.
I personally believe we need to take a stand and post signs at our places of work that muscular bare chested, bald, and mustached individuals wielding two over sized swords ARE NOT WELCOME HERE! If just a few of those attributes, I guess it's okay...and there is no point in discriminating against those just coming into your shop with a couple of huge weapons in either hand, I mean, geez, they might need them for medical reasons (so they don't get dead in their hostile work environment).
