Here is an example : Buying the whole plane costs 40 Bux Buying the 3 parts and building it costs 7x4 Bux = 28 Economy : 12 Bux So yeah buy parts. You only have to wait for the market to update a few times

I'll take some parts GC: esploded You have to make a certain amount of trips/drop-offs to Calgary to qualify for the prize. I think if you qualify, you get the 100 bux. I *think* the minimum is 15 trips.
