Tnx my idea for an Easter event is a big forest area with easter eggs hidden in bushes and behind trees, and enemies that drop different kind of eggs. The eggs can be traded in rare easter outfits and weapons.
Good idea, would rather pick ups be worth gold though since the sooner you gain xp the sooner you have to buy more packs! Wolf is the perfect animal for rogue actually! good idea!
Yeah I really like the wolf as the rogue/assassin(dual-wielding, fast weapon, fast attacking class) class and also that idea earlier in the thread for the buffalo to be a shaman of sorts.
great idea. Although I was thinking about it.. and i think the only way other races would be incorporated would be through a pay for content feature. Also I like the idea of mixing classes different classes with different races.. it would add some more flavor to the game
So just out of curiosity, when do people think this is going to actually hit the App store for the iPhone? I'm thinking we'll be lucky if we see this before next weekend, so at least another few days before it comes out, maybe Thursday at the earliest. I hope I'm wrong, but that is my prediction. What do you guys think?
I've been following this thread too! I'm just waiting for someone to shout, "GAME IS FINALLY APPROVED!". I'll be there in a flash. Anyway, in the mean time, while Apple find a way of getting their heads out of the iPad's ass, I'll discuss the following "MMO" topic, as quoted. You've both got MMO and MMORPG completely mixed up. Diablo WAS an MMO and that's EXACTLY what Pocket Legends is, an MMO. World of Warcraft is not an MMO, it's an MMORPG. Credits to the developers for understanding the difference and that just tells me the devs know exactly what they're releasing. This re-inforces their experience of creating previous MMO's. I'll break it down so those that are still confused at this point can understand. While they both pose the same acronym, they're meaning is different entirely. MMO = Massive. Multiplayer. Online. That's the intention of Pocket Legends and the Diablo series. It aims to be Massive, multiplayer and online. MMORPG = MMO, role playing game. The added "RPG" refers to role-playing. A good example being, WoW. It has an "overworld" to "role-play" it's streamline gaming. So it's a Massive Multiplayer Online game with the added role-playing factor of an Overworld. I hope this clears it up for everyone.
well i think what would really define it being an MMO (regardless if it is by definition) is the amount of people online in one server could anyone clarifiy the amount?
Yeah, that being a different subject entirely. I remember reading somewhere about a 1000 per server with 7 servers but I don't know if I read that about this game or IMO, lol. Either way, once it's released for the smaller iDevices, the population will sky rocket. This game is shaping to be a real gem.
Run over to TouchGen or SlidetoPlay and see MMORPG used to describe Pocket Legends since the reveal on Friday. In addition, MMO is also used as an abbreviation b/c people do not always want to type or say MMORPG every time. None the less, I do appreciate your condescending explanation though. I feel educated now. FYI - Check out the Pocket Legends description in iTunes. Right near the top is the following: "Pocket Legends" is a ground breaking and unique Mobile MMORPG, "massively-multiplayer online role-playing game" where you can join thousands of players from around the world. Yet we're idiots because we're a little disappointed it's not as social of an experience as WoW?
Well then I was wrong to think that the Devs had MMO as the description. That would be my bad. My explanation still stands though. And I know what you mean about MMO also being a shorter way of saying MMORPG, I'm victim to this too. But it was just to clarify that there is a difference between the two and that in layman's terms, Pocket Legends is an MMO and not an MMORPG Just to give an example of what I mean; MMO types:- http://mmohut.com/games/mmo MMORPG types:- http://mmohut.com/games/mmorpg I'd say Pocket Legends leans more towards the MMO aspect of things, concentrating mainly on "lobby-partying" and dungeon crawling, despite their being a town to socialise in. I enjoyed the idea someone said about their being a massive city called Beargrimmar, that'd be amusing
Pocket Legends is one step forward in direction of pocket Hamachi I understand all Your digressions about genre PL belongs too, but, if I were You, I'd stop this discussion until we got our hands on the game. Then we will make the judgement, depending on our personal feelings, obvervations and experience. Everything comes back to it's roots - WAITING.
