Just checked the New Zealand store...IT'S OUT! (assuming the download works) Chances are we'll have to wait until midnight tonight to get here in the US. Of course all of you in the eastern hemisphere will get it earlier.

At least you get it in a few hours. Most likely I won't see this for another 18 hours or so. Not sure what time zone in the US these games come out, but hopefully its the East Coast vs. West Coast (3 hour difference).

it's midnight Friday morning in New Zealand so we are like...17 hours or behind (depending on US zipcode). Most likely we will get it tonight between midnight eastern and midnight pacific. So I guess one more day to go.

I have class and then I'm passing the time this afternoon playing Final Fantasy III on the DS (I've had this one sitting around screaming at me to play for a while). Does anyone know what US timezone the App store usually uses when releasing apps at midnight? I imagine it's either eastern or pacific time (hopefully eastern so we get it 3 hours earlier).
Other people on the forum are doing that but I'm just going to wait for the US release. I want to be sure there are no issues when I purchase the in-app content packs.
Yeah, I guess you're right. Although the only problem (if it is even a problem), would be paying in a different currency. Unless the currency exchange rate is severely against you.. But I'll wait too Or maybe download the NZ game, try it out, once the UK game releases, re-download that. I wonder if my char would be deleted? Can't see that happening if we have a login.
Since your account is saved server side for the game im sure you can play now, then delete the app, and install the US version when its out and log back in.
Tried to download from the iTunes NZ store but it says my iTunes cannot establish a connection. That's a shame. Tried downloading a random free app and that worked so it must be either the NZ store or the application itself.

It didn't work for me either. Has anyone NOT from NZ managed to download the app from iTunes? When I try, I get a pop-up saying my account is only valid to make purchases in the UK store. I guess that's that then. May have to wait for midnight tonight.
