no probs on my equipment... Earlier postings had complained about ball / gameplay speed on iPhone 4 and/or 3G devices; I'm happy to say that the game plays equally well on my iPad2, my daughter's iPad 1, our iPhone4, 3GS, and older (painfully slow by comparison) 3G devices! Same smooth framerate and delightful gameplay on all devices. The catch is: they all MUST be running the *very most recent* iOS version available for them, and apparently jailbroken devices (a friend's) have a visible dip in playability... but jailbroken devices typically take a fairly magnaminous hit in the speed / compatibility department anyways. Anyway, I'll stop gushing over the release with this last comment: it's just silly, the more I play this thing the more I WANT to play it. Lost nearly an hour today trying to repeat-kick the multiball / jackpots. ;-) If indeed the other Littlewing pins come over to iOS gaming, the newcomers within the Touch Arcade community are all in for a very very nice surprise.
The vortex caused by the gravitational pull from all the positive buzz is hard to resist: I just bought the app!
No. In my post, #35 on this thread, I just stated simply that I don't really care for the simplistic open table style of pinball that this particular game offers compared to the more complex kind seen elsewhere here on IOS, etc. The other guy said he had read the other posts here, etc., and stated if you don't like this game, you don't like pinball period! And if you read what I said and you read what he said, well, I took that as a direct hit. And that's why I said what I did because so often, as here, someone feels like taking a shot at someone who disagrees! In the end, I believe it's HIM who should bite his lip and shouldn't have included that last sentence he wrote! Jeez, this is ridiculous! I'm very sorry about polluting this thread with this crap, and won't post any more about this!!
Glad to hear that. You seriously overreacted to a fairly innocuous comment from Gabrien and kind of made a fool of yourself. Sometimes it's best to just walk away.
GREAT pinball app. The table does feel very simplistic, but it's also why it's so refreshing and its goals understandable. Plays lovely on iPad 2. My other fave pinball game recently is Pinball Ride unlimited.
So awesome to see LittleWing Pinball on the iPad! No one does it better. Here's hoping they can bring some of the rest of the line up to iOS.
I found iPhone4 playing video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMWLNTpmt6s I'm looking for iPad2 one but no luck. Get iPad2 now or wait for iPhone 5 .... that is the question ;-)
Game Impressions Late to report, but: AMAZING physics / feel in this title. Great action, especially when you get the mutiball going! Sounds are OK, could use a few more, like when the ball hits hard against a wall, but no biggie. Must-have for any iOS pinball fan, IMHO.
Same here. Full ack. I can't see why every1 is so excited on TLG—it doesn't look good on iPad 2 at all.
I am having problems flicking the ball returning from the Tristan bonus hole. It goes between the flippers every time on my ipad2. However, on my iPod touch, no problem hitting it..... Am I just useless at pinball?
Dear fellow forum members and iOS players, I must come clean and confess my sin, for I have too long been tormented by confusion and sadness: Before this day, I woefully ignored and have even shown disdain for this title because of its spartan and unexciting look. Oh, how wrong was I. After proceeding to the fateful transaction, I could not leave this table alone. The controls are tight, the table is right. It might be a simple one, but simple is good. The physics are a pleasure to experience. It does feel a bit easy compared to other, more complex table layouts on the app store. I sure hope Little Wing ports more of their titles to iOS. Please forgive me all. I was weak. A fool.
Same here! When I first saw screenshots, I was turned off by the simple-looking table....I love pinball, but prefer more modern tables with ramps, etc....but because I'm a pinball nut, I figured I had to give this one a try because everyone was saying how good it was...and wow, I'm glad I did! This really is the real deal. The table does look simple at first glance, but there really is a lot of to do with the objectives, multi ball, etc., and the physics are unbelievably good. I can't stop playing it....and it's now my favorite pinball game on the iPad. I really hope Little Wing ports over some more tables too.
Little Wing HAS to make more of their tables for iOS....It would be a real shame if they didn't. Tristan is actually better now than when it was new in the 90's...and I didn't think that was possible....the iPad is the perfect pinball playing machine !
I just asked them about this last night on Facebook and they told me they're working on Crystal Caliburn for iOS right now.
I know you pinball guys don't want to miss this either ! The new Pinball HD table (Da Vinci)....coming the in next day or so. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=103666&page=3
