Actually, I think today is the last day. The pinball table rules was posted late last night, meaning nothing has been posted today.
From Facebook: We really appreciate all of the support and comments that you guys have given our posts during these 12 days of updates, news, and videos! We are working hard to release the game as soon as we can so that you can experience it. In order for our game to be seen (and in our opinion be successful) we also need the support of Apple, Google, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. These companies have responded very well to our game which is great! But we have to fit our launches into their schedules to get the support that we need. As of today, we are still projecting a launch on iOS and Android later this month and confident that well hit it. We are doing our best to be a launch title for PS Vita in February, and the Mac version will also release then. The 360, PS3, and PC versions will be released at the end of March. Well use this extra time to improve the game and address as many of the comments that youve given us as we can. Please help spread the word about the game if you like what youve seen. For The Pinball Arcade to be successful and continue delivering tables for years to come, were going to need a lot of help getting people to notice us. In the meantime, well be looking into limited beta releases soon on mobile devices, so check back on our Facebook page for details!
Very exciting. As many had predicted, on the 12th day they game us a release date (well, timeframe, at least).
"As of today, we are still projecting a launch on iOS and Android later this month..." --- maybe end of this month or early February 2012...just guessing.
I have fond memories of playing Firepower as well. I even managed to wrap the board on it once. Of course, it helped that the table had no tilt sensor. Gonna drain? Nothing that kicking the whole table six inches to the left won't fix. Turning off the tilt sensor in the Wii version of Williams Collection allowed for a game I dubbed "flipperless pinball." You could spaz out with the wiimote and nunchuk and tilt the table so vigorously the the ball would crawl up the play field. I can't wait to try that on my iPad. And Whirlwind is another fun table from that game.
I'm going to guess that this will slip into early Feb. There was a discussion about how they would release the game (free demo, premium version with tables unlocked, or something with IAP), which means it's not done yet. They'll have to submit to Apple and get it approved, and that may take a week or two. I hope I'm wrong and it's out this month, but I'm mentally preparing myself for a Feb release.
