OMG, I love this app already. Great tables AND a developer who actually knows something about the pinball scene? Too good to be true ...

I would think so. There's rumors that it may even released at the end of their 12 Days of Pinball Christmas thing that they're doing on Facebook, where they're releasing new info/videos everyday. We're currently on Day Four :)

Eh jeffy... does the ball physics look 'real' to you?

Frankly, I haven't had any recall-able experience with real pinball so your response would be appreciated (so I can show the game to friends and boast 100% realistic physics :D)

They look pretty realistic. I don't know if I'd say 100%, but they look closer than any other pinball video game I've played.

Actually, a couple of things looked strange to me, particular the ball bouncing off the flippers, but in large parts of that video, they were moving the ball manually to show off the reflections. Also, I don't think the framer ate of the video was especially high (or just playback was jittery for me).

I have confidence in these guys that when we have the final product in our hands it will be right, or that if it isn't, they will get it done.

My main hope is for a smoother frame rate than I am getting from Zen.

The ball could bounce just a bit more off the flippers, but not much. In real life, that can really vary from table to table...but if a table has brand new rubbers then yes it is going to have more bounce off the flippers, compared to a table that has rubbers with more play time. Even so, when you let a fast moving ball hit a dead flipper, it will pass over to the other flipper like it does in this video, although it might bounce or move up the other lane a bit more after meeting the other flipper, depending on the table. Again, it varies. To me, it looks like they've achieved a pretty nice balance, but there's always room for improvement, just like with any game.

I'd gladly go without the reflective ball if it meant maintaining 60fps at all times...

Hey Jeffy, that reminds me...one of the old series, I think it was Pro Pinball, had a setting that let you tweak the "age" of the table, which affected how springy things were, how much friction there was, etc. a bit of a novelty, but neat nonetheless.
