We've got the makings of a great law suit here! If they DARE include some of these tables there are TA Forum members who will either "lose it", "go nuts", or "be in Heaven" (which if done while still living can't be a good thing)!
B@!!$ B@!!$ B@!!$ METALLIC BALLS FOR ALL!!! I love this developer!!! Can't believe they're bringing what will be the most comprehensive pinball experience onto iOS!!! (iPhones included yeah?...)
I'll be watching this one closely as the son of an avid pinball collector, I would love to see the mid 90's williams wide body tables made portable. I hope this game really happens especially if they were to include Monster Bash, Medieval Madness, Cactus Canyon, Champion Pub, or Big Bang Bar.
Nice, how about any of williams pinball 2000 machines, obviously I'd rather see Mars Revenge but I'd take Star Wars too. There really is a huge number of machines I'd love to see in this game like Road Show, Judge Dread, Fish Tails, Tales of Arabian Nights and maybe some of the newest machines like Big Buck Hunter, Lord of the Rings, Iron Man, and Tron Legeacy.
I didn't have a chance to check the link until you said that. This makes me want to call my dad and tell him I'm coming over to play his machines.
Yeah with most arcades gone or only catering to video games has killed almost the entire industry. Which is really sad because I can only imagine what some of the tables would look like if the industry was still thriving with today technology. Some of the new tables they put out now are nice but you have to order a limited edition version to get all the bells and whistles that were more common place back in the early to mid 90's. I sure miss the arcade days, now everyone just sits at home and plays online and thats social gaming.
OH MAN. I would love to see Williams Black knight table First multi-level table, considered one of the great classics http://pinball.flippers.info/blackknight.asp
I'm pretty sure it will be considering it was in the Williams Collection video game along with Black Knight 2000.
I know what you mean! And 2012 seems so FAR away now that I'm lookin' forward to this! Check it out-don't know how many of you pinball fans have the opportunity to go to Las Vegas, but there's a Pinball Hall of Fame place there with around 10,000 square feet of nothing BUT pinballs and they're meticulously taken care of and you can play any of them all the time! Incredible in this day and age! If you know you won't be able to go, check it out on the web and try to keep the drool in your mouth as you look at tables row after row as far as you can see!
I was actually just looking at their site yesterday. I would be in heaven in that place.....wow..... Oh, and I saw on The Pinball Arcade's Facebook page that they're shooting for January 2012, so that's really just over a couple months away. You guys should follow them on Facebook. They've been responding to a lot of questions people have posted on their wall: https://www.facebook.com/pinballarcade
I went to the Pinball Hall of Fame on my wedding day, and had a blast. My friend and I went earlier in the day, and then we took the limo there after the wedding. My wife wasn't too keen on it, but one of the photos we took there ended up being her favorite. There was a short discussion between myself and another poster on the Facebook page discussing pricing of the tables, and it was deleted. Guess they didn't want that type of thing there. I figure PSN/XBox tables will be between $2.50-$5 a table, depending on whether it features other licenses. Now, how much will they be for iOS? I doubt the $2.50-$5 prices would go over as well, so would they be $1-2? I hope they keep them low, as I plan on buying everything they release.
I saw that discussion before it was deleted and I think you're right on the money with your predictions (pardon the pun). I know Zen only charges about $2.50 a table for their Pinball FX 2 DLC, and that's a bargain in my opinion....so since stuff is usually even less on iOS, and if Farsight follows the trends, the tables are going to be an absolute steal (which is good for us). But yeah, I plan to buy everything they release too, on multiple systems (ipad and 360 for sure, and possible some on PC too).
Now, there are definitely tables I'd pay as high as $20 for (Simpsons Pinball Party, Star Trek: The Next Generation), simply because I absolutely love those tables.
Same here. Man, they're talking a new table like every two weeks, or something along those lines...........Someone pinch me. I think I'm dreaming...
