New news.....and it's not pretty. iDevice users will not be able to play the game unless connected to 3G or WiFi. WTH Capcom????????? From IGN: "December 22, 2009 - Phoenix Wright for the iPhone is on the App StoreĀ in Japan. While this does absolutely no good for most IGN readers, it does mean that the game is likely worming its way through localization right now and should be available for other territories very soon. According to a report on Japanese gaming site Gaijin Gamer, Phoenix Wright is episodic (additional chapters will cost extra beyond the initial download), but also requires a 3g/Wifi connection to stream the game from Capcom servers at all times." RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This makes this a no-buy for me. Unless they change this for the US.
There was already a main thread for the Japan release and we were complaining about this, it does suck.
This is stupid. They didn't do this for the DS releases nor for the other phone versions they've done via Java. This won't make them any money, they'll lose it all in server upkeep and bandwidth costs. Sounds to me like all they're going to do is "stream" the Java version of the game which will make it look like ass due to the higher resolution of the iPhone display when compared to the DS or most cell phones the Java version is playable on. I hope that's just a stupid rumor. Capcom can't be THAT incompetent.

Ooooohhh... So, I revisited my Wii for the first time in a year, because PW:AA on Wii is supposed to be the same for the iPhone. It looks like total garbage. They tried to make the original DS better and in a higher quality, but they failed. Epically. There are no new gameplay mechanics at all, no Psy-Locks or whatever those things were that Apollo had, plus I'm mad because Capcom made DLC for it (new cases!!!) then took them off, the option to purchase it is still there, but it says, "this case is no longer available for purchase". I hope Capcom adds in some stuff that will make it better, because after playing through the Wii one for 3 hours, it wasn't that great.
The wiiware version of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is an exact port from the ds version. They only added in the touch controls for the wii controller. Why did you expect the mto add and change things about it and make it basically a new game? They said it would be a port. The dlc you thought they removed isn't anything new, it's just the fifth case that was added into the ds version and wasn't in the gba japanese version. The reason it says it is no longer available is because they haven't ported it yet, it's coming later for 100 wiipoints. How can you love the ds version but hate the wii version when it is an exact port?

That article also says the DLC will be available in May for 100 wp. I don't see how the controls stick when all you do is push the A button throughout the entire thing basically. You sometimes have to push - to show evidence, and the directional buttons to navigate menus. What is so hard about them? Also, the art looks the exact same to me. So if you could, please explain why it isn't a port, and why the controls and art stink. I mean obviously you must have reasons to back up such strong negative opinions.
OH YEAH! My day just keeps getting better and better... with any luck, I'll hear that I got accepted into the Zenonia 2 beta, this will surprisingly pop up in the iTunes store, and I'll find an iTunes card lying around the house. Well, with the way my day's going, at least some of it is a possibility.
Yay, great new. I've been waiting for it since the first annouce. Someone knows if Wi-Fi connection requirment from Japanese version will be in English one? And when will it be released?

Anyone get Investigations??!! It's totally sweet. Miles makes his "Nggghhh!!!" face often and it always cracks me up! Also the new way to play is awesome too. I haven't played my DS since Apollo Justice, then this came out and I just had to go get it.
