Seriously? Read the description before you buy. It's like spending 15,000$ on a car, then when you get it, turns out to be a toy car. You can't do anything about it because it says, "toy car, not real car." if I want a laugh I go read the reviews of those phone tracker apps and those Mario soundboard apps. Feel free to comment your opinions on this.
I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry when I saw the reviews of Hand Warmer, where people were pissed that it didn't actually make heat. Or the x-Ray app, where people accused it of just being a picture and not a real x-Ray app.
I hate it when people get the star ratings on games wrong. For example, they may have given it **** but at the end of their review written "sadly only 1 star". I hope that all makes sense :S
At the same time, a lot of those app descriptions are deliberately worded to deceive potential buyers. The Mario soundboard apps were a good example. When you see an app labeled "phone locator" (assuming you don't understand much about iPhone hardware) you don't intuitively interpret that as "fake phone locator" or expect a line at the very bottom of the description saying "disclaimer: doesn't actually work". It's like selling a completely blunt knife in a knife shop that at first examination looks exactly like a normal knife, and putting small print on the back that says "disclaimer: doesn't actually cut anything". It might be technically legal, but it's dishonest as hell.
Or like some of the reviews of iRa Pro. But that is kind of the opposite. People thought it was a joke when it's actually real. Those reviews are really funny.
what i hate is when people give 1 star rating becouse of one minor thing they dont like. Example:"this game is great except the inscreen dpad is to small. one star for neglect. please put some real effort into a game before you sell it. But the game is amazing otherwise"
They used to bother me but not so much anymore. After a while you realize that the iPhone platform has such a diverse amount of people using it (it really feels like half the world has an touch or iphone) and you're gonna get those kinds of people spamming up the itunes reviews. It really shouldn't bother other people either unless it affects their livelihood in some way....
