Hey everyone. I'm looking for a solid Iphone app to store passwords and/or sensitive data. There are a few out there, but I'd love to hear some of your thoughts as to which you've used and would recommend.

    Thanks!

I use MEO (my eyes only) and have been pleased. The developer has been responsive with communication and regular updates. I use the app way more than I thought I would and ended up buying the desktop program to sync and backup my info. It goes on sale regularly (I think it's on sale now) so if your interested keep your eyes out for a sale.

  4. SplashID. It's expensive (especially if you buy the desktop sync software too) but if you want something secure, it don't get much more secure than 256-bit BlowFish encryption. It's very extensible too; you can set it up to store anything you want, and it comes with preset templates for personal ID, credit cards, and other such stuff. Plus you can browse websites in-app with your login and password shown in a window at the top when you need it. That part was rather cool. I've been using it exclusively for all of my sensitive bits. (Not the the ones that are attached to me.)

1password is a good free app on iPhone. It's strength is it's sync to their own desktop app (osx), which can save your logins ad even browse to them from within the app itself, like Safari.
I flagged it off before for not allowing you to input new wallet items like new credit card details on the go. But they've fixed that now.

Another one I tried and like in TapForms. Completely customizable database structure. Has preset templates for credit cards etc, to start off with, and you can add new data points too.

I've heard good things about SplashID too.

Apparently, there are quite a few more than I had even heard of, and it doesn't sound like there is a single "got to have" app. SplashID sounds like one that I definitely need to check out though.

I definitely want something that I can backup to a PC, and restore to another Iphone should mine be lost or stolen.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'll do some more research and check back here for any other suggestions as well.

I would highly recommend mSecure. Their app is easy to use with a back up/restore for PC and MAC. Try it.

    SplashID all the way.

Had it for almost a year now. Syncs effortlessly with desktop (sold separately) thru wifi.
Company been around for almost 10 years.
Never had a crash, bug or any problems with this app.

    Highly recommend it!

You might also check out SPB Wallet. I have been using it for years now, first on my PPC and now on my Touch. The product is fairly mature and supports web browser integration to capture passwords, make new passwords and fill in pages. I'm not sure what the price is right now, but I got the iPhone version plus the desktop companion for less than $20.

Thanks for all of the responses. I decided to give the Msecure application a try due to the inexpensive price as well as the free backup utility. I really liked the splashid functionality, but don't want to shell out the extra cash for the PC backup component, and I don't mind entering the data on the iphone itself.

    Thanks again for the help!
