If you ever do continue your game developments you should really consider making a game that's open world. I love games where I can just drive around and go off-roading and hit up trails and mud puddles! I love your art style and would love a cockpit view open world off road game!
That would be cool I have a plan for an open world game... just need the time. But it involves aircraft, not cars
I'd love to have car crashes as in the original NFS. I had it for PC back when the minimum specs for it were a 486DX2@66MHz with 8MB RAM, and I have never seen a collision system as good as that one. It was so good that you could feel the cars weighed and had inertia... Does the player's car crash-fly too? I've seen the traffic car go fly when the player crashed into it, but the player's car stayed on the floor, without the slightest tipping. How does your physics engine compare to the one in the original NFS? I'd love Test Drive Unlimited on my phone...
Yeah the player car does too. Depends on where it's hit. They tend to be lower and sportier than the AI cars though, so the AI cars are more likely to be scooped up and leave the road. Haha. I have had some massive flips/rolls from time to time, though! As for the physics engine. I'm nowhere near smart enough to code my own... that's what Unity is for. It uses Nvidia PhysX.
Thanks I can only take credit for the 3D modelling and layout/design. I had someone else do the textures
Quick update: Contract with publisher signed and returned. Game will be delivered to them on Friday (it's done now, just balancing medal/trophy times)! They will do some testing and with any luck, the game will be released soon after that!!!
Cheers, guys Just finished the Game Center stuff and handed the app to BulkyPix. I hope it works... I'm not very good with that Xcode stuff. Lol.
Hey guys and gals, Just thought I'd pop by with the first gameplay trailer. EDIT: I've been instructed to remove the trailer by publisher. Naughty Karl! Oh well, having a publisher is very new to me, you live, you learn!
Quick update: Game has been sent to publisher, they've tested it and are in the process of submitting to the App Store. Hopefully The Drive - Devil's Run will be live within a couple of weeks!
