On a Tilt: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/on-a-tilt/id422715275?mt=8&ls=1 I need your feedback! I'm upgrading On A Tilt, but I need feedback about the current version. Here are some promo codes: iPhone/iPod Touch: FYXNYN9LWLHX 9EMKHALKMT34 AFFYTWY6LNMT MFE3JT6M3NEA ENTX7HTT7LY7 9K3FW96KEN94 WHE6W3YW4E3F W94HX9F6TTLX KPN736AXML7A MLAW4KL6EPY7 I will give out more promo codes once these are used. I'm really just interested in making it the best game that it can be. Current ideas: -Making a challenges mode. This mode will be actually levels that need to be completed with a specific goal. An example would be, complete 10 static tilts in 60 seconds. -Adding power-ups to the arcade mode. These power-ups would be different colored areas that would appear randomly and quickly. Some power-ups would be freeze time, make green areas bigger, magnetize the green areas, etc. -In the Survivor mode use something other then time to make the game end to make it more exciting. If you have any other ideas big or small I would really appreciate discussing it. Here is a short youtube video about the last update of the game: I've also posted codes and info for the HD version over in the iPad section.
That's sad to see lurkers take advantage of this guys request for feedback. Developer might want to require private message for promo with any others.
Wow Codes gone already I'll PM you guys a code. Please, please, please leave some feedback. Thanks. FKFPRNHWNXWW HJAFRJXJ4XRF MYARAHEHMJPE 7LYRPNNWAFHJ N7RWT9NPT3WW 3LEKT6A3EEAH EPKNKHEEYMWK NEYEAE9TNXRR T9HT4TAM9A9A 9Y77YHJRYTWE
On a tilt, first impressions... First things first, I have never played anything like this before. I generally don't like any kind of game that relies solely on gyro/accel. for controls, but this game is quite the exception! That is the element of this game that makes it really good and fun. I really like the retro feel of the graphics, and this makes for one of those great time wasters when you have lil or lots of time to waste . I'm not the most creative for suggestions, but I am going to watch and see how the leveling up keeps me coming back for more. Thanks for a fun game!
Thanks, took 7LYRPNNWAFHJ for my iPod and left impressions on the iPad (oddly) thread where HD codes are all gone ^.^
Game Impressions To start off, I think the idea is pretty cool and may even improve hand eye coordination with enough play. ...but there seem to be some strange things that are either problems / glitches with the game or just seem out of place. While playing it seemed like I would skip through 5 or 6 levels almost instantly for no reason that I could see. The screen flips frequently, which may just be part of the game. If it is part of the game, I'm not so crazy about it. The frame rate drops here and there, nothing big but for a reflex game this probably shouldn't happen. I'm a designer, so one of the first (superficial) things I want in a game is a good look. I think you are missing a cohesive / cool style to the game, something that could make a simple game like this more memorable. The graphics seem pretty fuzzy as well, maybe just a problem with image compression. I'm not crazy about this game, but I definitely see potential. I'd give it a 3* in its current state. I hope this helps
All the 5 or so codes at the bottom of the list were taken, but HJAFRJXJ4XRF was still free, so I took that. Thanks! I will post impressions later. [edit] Played it. Very original game, like the idea, but I somehow really hate turning my iphone around. Understand that this is a key part of the game, but somehow it doesn't work for me. No problem with tilting, just with turning it upside down and back. I do like your challenges idea, think that that could work very well for a game like this.
On a Tilt Dev Reply Thanks. I think the leveling up will only hold your attention for so long, but I'm not sure. I really want to keep increase the replay of the game. So this is why I'm hoping to add the challenges section, which will be kinda like the angry birds / cut the rope style of levels. Let me know what you think. They aren't glitches they are part of the game and it's not good that it's not clear to you. Something I will need to improve. Every so often the game flips upside down. The purpose of this is to make the controls inverted and more difficult or force you to flip the device upside down. The other part of that is the "skipping through 5 or 6 levels." if you are being accurate there is a progress bar at the bottom of the screen that fills up. Every time you get a perfect tilt, which means you get in the box and stay in there perfectly the first time, you get progress. Once the bar is filled up you pace 5-... levels. For the design aspect. I'm the designer and the developer so it takes me much more time to compensate. I definitely end up lacking in one area here and there. I use illustrator to design my games, just because the vector graphics allow me to scale the graphics to create retina and HD. I'm not familiar with image compression or what I might be doing to cause some of that. Any more help you can give me as designer I would be very grateful! I really want to make this game a 5 for you Thanks for the comments. I think you are referring to the flip when you say, "turning my iphone around." The purpose of the flip is to cause the controls to become inverted. This is to make the game much more difficult. I don't know if you ever played mario kart 64. After you beat almost all of mario kart you were forced to play the entire game in reverse. This is sort of similar to what I am doing here. You're so use to doing it one way and now all of a sudden you have to do it backwards and it's completely different. If you can't do it backwards, there is a handicap and you can simple flip the iphone. Yeah, I'm really hoping the challenges will be a hit! Thank you for your feedback everyone. I'd love to hear back from you guys and hear from others too!
Oat Are the codes all used up? I don't mind giving out more I just want as much feedback as I can get to make it the best game that it can be.
Okay, a few thoughts: 1: A help section is needed. True, its a simple game, and it might be obvious to some, but I spent the better part of 10 minutes figuring out how thing game works 2: The option to adjust sensitivity would be great. Often I have to tilt it to the point where I cant see the screen. Other the that, this game is awesome. Keep up the good work.
On A Tilt Dev Reply I'll PM you a code Wow 10 minutes!!! I'm trying to make it simple like Pacman with no instruction needed. I'd like to not include any instruction. what parts of the game were confusing at first? If I know this I can maybe make it easier to understand some other way. Adjusting the sensitivity could be a good idea. The problem though is if it's less sensitive it's impossible. If it's more sensitive you don't have tilt the game as much getting rid of some of the fun of the game, but making it more competitive. Thanks for the feedback!
This review is honest !! I promise!!! Pretty much one of the most addicting games on my iPhone!!!!! The concept is fun and it has flawless gameplay! !Great app to kill a few minutes with!!!! However, maybe you should add a Introduction to tell us how to get high score or something else. then, add more mode in this game. such as time limited, use specil things. or super difficult~~~~ Final, Keep the updates coming! WO~~ It will be perfect!!!!!! All in all, I like this game so much~~~~~relaxed and interested!!
I think this challenge mode you're talking about would definitely make the game better. I really like the mini-game style of the main mode though, it reminds me of Wario Ware.
