Can't wait for this game. I have 7 bucks left on my account and I don't want to spend on anything else. Lets hope that this is five dollars like they said it would be.
I converted 2.99 Euros to US dollars. My converter says it's going to be about 3.99. Don't take my word for it.
but its different being on xbox live compared to the app store, at least i hope its not gonna be 9.99
I'm pretty sure the price will be $4.99 (if it's more than I'll just get Star Hogs ). I hope it comes out tonight.. any word?
im thinking that's what it will be. someone said they updated there facebook, but didn't put what they said?
They made it rather clear that it would not be a stripped down mobile version, that it would be a fully featured game with all the bells and whistles. This is good news, however, it sounds like an excuse to charge us the same price as they did for their arcade titles. They are missing one giant detail though, the iPhone version won't be running on a big screen HD TV in 720/1080p. So, here's hoping it'll be $4.99.
They also need to compete with other big titles in the genre, such as Star Hogs, which is also seemingly full-featured. To price it at $9.99 will lead a lot of people to settle on Star Hogs until it comes down in price. I know a lot of people will buy the brand, but brand doesn't necessarily mean quality. The makers of Star Hogs make mobile games - it is not the specialty of Team17. It's the same with Hudson's Bomberman on the iDevice as opposed to Bomber Online. That is not to say I don't have high hopes and full faith in the developers of worms (as it's one of my favorites of all time), but one can't assume quite yet. (Then again, I'm one to talk... I'm sure I'll buy it immediately despite price... )
mebe who knows, its all in apples hands now, so we could get it tomorrow, or we could get it in 2 weeks its a mystery
Why are you all asking about price, they said it'll be £2.99, conversion is 1.6 last time I checked ( I remember when it use to be around 2 ) and 2.99*1.6 is 4.7 and round that up to apples pricing range, $4.99. and £ = pounds, € = euros. Edit: they said it would be around that so I highly doubt $9.99
Yes, you don't have the benefits of a large screen, but you do have the benefit of portability. Quite a plus I would say. I'd pay 9.99 for it, so long as it's polished, which it certainly looks to be, unlike, say, Sonic.
