How can u b so sure it will be out then. Under info on my iPhone thing on iTunes it says it will automatically check for a new update on the 24th.

My finger is floating over the check for updates button but I will hold out, want to hear TA's feedback on it first.
So far, so good. Downloaded its 230mb (ish), backed up (quickly for a change), restarted, updating now and almost done. Finished and fine. The longest part was the install. No hitches here! Swish to left of home page and you get search. There are now more than 9 pages...I am counting...11 and that does not include the search.
omg as im waiting for 3.0 to finish installing, all I can think of is how much better 2.0 made the iPhone. THere are so many new features with this updat! YEssssssssssss
OK so I clicked on "Check for Updates". And iTunes started downloading it FOR FREE. I restored fine. So I decided while my stuff was syncing back I would check the iTunes update page for iPod Touch, and it tells me I need to pay $10 to get the update. So I dunno what to do now.
Can I update to 3.0 from any computer without wiping my apps? Or do I need to do it from the computer I normally sync with?
you do not have to restore from a back up. Everything is there after the installation is complete. No need to restore.
You can have an unlimited amount of apps with Spotlight. I now have 400+ apps on my iPod and they all show up. Does anyone know if the GM seed expires?
