  1. So N.O.V.A. 3 will support iPod 3rd gen (with 16GB+) and up. iPad 1 and up. iPhone 3GS and up.

The game won't support iPhone 2G & 3G or the old iPod 1 and 2G.

As a few of you have been asking, I hope this helps :)

I've been using an iPad 1 for all my app needs for two years now. My last iPod touch was a second gen, and it was stolen from me right around the time I got my iPad. Since then I havent seen the point in getting an iPod touch when I could use my iPod classic for music and my iPad for everything else. So to answer your question, no. I didnt. But anyway callum just cleared the compatibility issue up so everything's good now.

OH MY GOD YES! THANK U! :D

But still suspicious... How GOOD will this run on my iPod 4G? Will it lag? And if yes, can we change graphic quality to make it run smoother?

  4. Changing graphics quality... I'm not sure. However we vigorously test the game on all devices before it's released, and ensuring a smooth experience is something we always strive for.

Looks like you and me (and the rest of the mc3 people as I'll call us) going to be battling and fragging mad in the multiplayer after all.
I still think my iPad 2 or iPhone 4s will have a slight advantage but still we are going to need the iPod touch compatibility to keep the numbers online up.
I think the iPod touch 4 should be up to the task though.

    Look out your window.
It's even bigger them mc3 so I'm sure it'll lag the same if not worse...

Btw I'm heading up to Iowa (FUKING 2 DAY CAR TRIP FROM NC) today so I won't be on much until I get there, then again until I'm bak, I'll be kinda off and on for a week

Yep, can't wait to play with you because MC3 didn't really give a chance to play with friends... add me on GL: RSC_okayyy_CoW

Well you sure didn't go through that process with MC3... :|

Well tbh you haven't been on palringo that much anyway :p And ikr, it'll lag for sure.

Guys, with older ipod touch's, 3G's or even the 4G. Will it lag?? Yes, probably. I don't think there's even a doubt.

With these new and awesome games like Mc3, BO zombies, and Nova 3, with all the detail, functions, and graphics. It can really only run smooth on new devices with the dual A5 chip or better.

Especially with Nova 3 now having vehicles and jetpacks in multiplayer (Holy crap for an iOS game !!)

I play Mc3 or BO zombies on my ipod touch 4G, then I play them on my iphone 4S. There is no comparison in quality, retina, graphics. The iphone 4S is clearly the better device and optimized for these games.

At least the older devices are compatible though.

I doubt it, I mean, they do want to earn money from this...

It's not like the graphics are THAT much better than those in MC3, so I don't see why it shouldn't run on the 3GS/iPod Touch 3 and up.

No, that shouldn't cause a problem to set up.
Once you have an account set up, just click the remember me box by the way.
If I remember right, the cookies were turned off most of the time when I first got my devices and they logged in just fine. (leaving cookies turned on are not a problem anyway, for the most part)

if u havent noticed MC3 has less lighting effects and particle effects when played on non A5 devices, NOVA 3 looks like A5 only or maybe will have less intense graphics for older devices

I suspect we'll see this next week on the 10th.
Men In Black is launching 17th and I can't see Gameloft releasing both on the same day, it just wouldn't follow their usual of launching two big games on the same day.
Optimism on my part I know and it'll probably launch on the 24th.
If it is coming next week, some multiplayer hands on will be surfacing on sites soon.

I'm not sure the 24th would be considered mid may. I think the 17th is when it will come out. Gameloft releases multiple games on the same day all the time.

I think I remember gameloft releasing nova 2 along with some asphalt game and an rpg similar to final fantasy on the same day.

These three came out in a two week period just before the app store closed for Christmas, December 2010.
The only reason that happened was they had to have them out for the Christmas rush where lots of games would be bought.
And I meant two big releases. Personally I don't give a damn about a freemium version of MIB but I suspect Gameloft does see this as a money earner and it only makes sense not to release two big revenue earners on the same day.
And yeah I know it's a stretch but this week is the first week, the week with 31st in it is the last week, so 10th, 17th and 24th are in between first and last, technically speaking the middle.
Ah, it'll probably be the 24th anyway, I'm just leaning towards optimism and need a new fps fix.
