It's in Apple's hands. Craig just confirmed it on Twitter.

EA is a shitty company since years and they dont give a damn about the customers, they only think about the profits and when they release a game, it is sure that people will buy it, so don't complain it guys

Lol, "kiddies". :D Anyway, Craig came back onto the EA forums however he is not allowed to release any information about release dates, saying "it will be out before summer" and that "we are waiting for it to launch like everybody else".

And this is exactly the point where I say: EA is a company which does not care about their customers ...

And that is why I think he knows more than he says ...

They should think about the little point that the stupid customers are paying their wages ... without the customers they would be jobless ...

The sad thing about all this is there is very little chance that NFS will meet the hype that has been created.

HOW is it possible to list a game on the App-Store (via Tiger Woods PGA "Crossmarketing"), assuming all consumers that it is avaliable, that is not even out yet?!

Good question! Someone should ask Apple ... in my opinion this goes in the direction of cheating ...

I hope that's not true, EA will surely take a big hit if NFS fails.

The fact of that matter is that for most games, reality does not meet the hype. It's just the way it is, and in the case of NFS, the hype has intensified due to delays because people expect this game to be more or less perfect which it won't. It's human nature, and there is bound to be some who are letdown by NFS when it finally appears. I haven't played NFS so I can't say factually that it is a letdown, but psychologically, it will be for many.

I've seent his happen over and over and over and over and over in these forums. People hype a game to a point that no game could ever live up to then they get pissed when it comes out because it's not the perfect game and the greatest thing to ever happen to them.

Also, in these threads people start making assumptions and rumors about release dates, evil companies, conspiracies, etc, etc, etc to the point that I expect the devs to appear in the news as Bernie Madoff.

The game will be out when it's out and sure it'll be great, make you feel complete, have babies with you and let you die happy at an old age, or whatever.

Very true, I believe this happened to Car Jack Streets. It was so hyped that many people were let down, because they were expecting a GTA 1 or GTA 2 on the iPhone, which Car Jack Streets is not. However, it is a very good game.

The reality is that the iPhone gaming market is not what so many people crack it up to be.

Trying to make these huge, console-quality games will fail just about every time because people will actually expect a console-quality game when the iPhone market is made for games more along the lines of Scoops. Then when they don't get what they expect, they scream "No Fair!" and the game flops due to bad, unjust reviews.

If you want to get good graphics and deep gameplay, don't look to the iPhone. You'll get let down and start blaming devs when all they did is do what they said they would.

sorry but i disagree fully with "bad consumers can't wait for their game=whiners" and the "good devs that feel so pissed by this".

Who said it will be out "very soon"? Who said we are getting "very close"? Who said could be out "every day now"?

It is the fake communication that dissapoints people. Why no tell just a date or something like "we need more time, sorry", "not before June"? This just would be fair! At the end of the day, they just want OUR money...

Yes I believe that is the point of making a game, to earn money.

EA will get special privelages. That's plain and simple, so you might as well learn to live with it. Why? Because they are the biggest name brand in the store, and Apple is going to understandably show them some love.

A game is a game, especially on the iPhone, so don't get your hopes up so high you expect a ridiculous amount out of a game that cannot possibly live up to those expectations due to the platform it's on. The iPhone is not a portable gaming console, it is a multimedia device that incorporates the mobile gaming market. This said, no matter how good a game was on a console, it won't be the same on an iPhone. Period.

How is that contradictory? That's going to be a good iPhone game, I never said it was going to be a console-quality game and once it's out we should all comment on how it's not as good as a console game.

Your argument doesn't make sense at all, platformer is the genre of game, how does that contradict my argument that games aren't as good on the iPhone? Again, it will be a good iPhone game, not a rival to or remake of a 360 game.
