Well I picked up Shift for the 360 and so far I'm loving it. I have a feeling this game will trump Real Racing.
You never know. Well, we won't know until it comes out so assumptions need not be made. Judging by the screenshots (yes I know, not the best to judge by), it looks excellent.
NFS Undercover looks amazing too, better than real racing IMO, but real racing is more fun, NFS was SOOOO easy
Lol I think that real racing had much better visuals. But its comparing a sim racer to an arcade racer, so it depends on the person's taste. But I do agree that real racing was more fun.
The amount of irrational hatred and prejudice thrown at EA is truly amazing and getting tiring. Can we just judge the game on its own merits vs. throwing some unfounded EA H8 at it? Game looks awesome. I'm looking forward to trying it out and letting the game stand on its own.
Same sentiment here. They actually have a pretty strict quality control, and some high profile games were actually scrapped because they didn't stand up to the quality control (the C & C FPS, among other games). I also heard that EA is know for the quality of their sports games.
Personally I prefer any Need for Speed over Real Racing. If I wanted to play a "real" racing game I would go to Playdium or any arcade and compete with other people in those realistic driving machines. Real Racing is insanely difficult and frustrating anyways. Blurred effects, cool looking cars, drifting and city life is much more exciting.
What's exciting about looking at your screen how a car moves by itself on your screen and even making corners? I hardly want to call NFS: underground a racing game. I really hope this NFS game is going to be a sim and not a racer on trails..
You're entitled to your opinion, but as you can see from my sig, not everybody feels that way. I think the fact that Real Racing is difficult is what makes it great. The AI is actually challenging, and drives like it actually wants to win the races. Blurred effects and drifting are cool and all, but easily winning every race brings the fun factor down significantly. I don't even mind not having real car models, as long as there are quality graphics and a challenging AI. Anyway, as far as NFS:Shift, I hope the iDevice version isn't strictly cockpit view and has a third person camera option. I don't own the console version, but if i'm not mistaken, it has a third person camera option. And as far as the gameplay on the console version, i've read that it's definitely not a sim-racer, but also realistic enough to not be a full on arcade racer. I hope the iDevice version is similar in that respect.
he's here once in awhile like GD, posted in the movie section while back but not sure what movie ...or he is here for good?
Back for good (or worse =/). I deleted what I posted in the movie section. I put a porn movie in there just to see what people would say. Haha. Didin't really say anything but I deleted it just in case.
