I just went through some press channels to get a message to them about it if they reply I will let you know what they say in full
I think this year more than ever though, with the revamped App Store and focus on special daily features, devs are willing to wait to release and instead work closely with Apple to release a game alongside some big featuring. I think technically games can release right up until midnight on Friday, so there's a chance they're holding off until tomorrow to make a big splash with one of the daily features in the App Store. OR, since releases resume on the 28th, it's possible they're waiting to release something as like a New Year's surprise late next week. I could kind of see that especially if it was a big deal release like LA Noire or Red Dead Redemption. OR they just aren't releasing anything this year haha.
Good point. In fact Chinatown Wars launched in January back in 2010 (and Max Payne is the biggest outlier as it launched in April of 2012) so just because they don't have a December release planned doesn't mean they're done with mobile or won't release something soon. Also there's precedent for them not releasing a new game in the past, as in December of 2014 they didn't release a new game either, but rather a MASSIVE update to the existing version of Chinatown Wars. In many ways that was LIKE getting a new game, but technically it wasn't a new release or anything. On that note, I sure wouldn't mind if they did something similar and released iPhone X updated for all their existing games Here's the release date history of all their stuff. Dec 2009 Beaterator Jan 2010 GTACW Dec 2011 GTA 3 April 2012 Max Payne Dec 2012 GTA VC Dec 2013 GTA SA Dec 2014 Huge GTACW update Dec 2015 GTA LCS Dec 2016 Bully
