What do you think about the new App page format, made to match the format that album pages are formatted as?
It's a mess! I don't like having to click on "more" to get to the reviews--> one of the main factors in deciding what games/app to buy. Does anyone know an easy way to get back to iTunes 8 on my Vista (no comments, pleeze!) PC? I can't even stand to look at this new format!
I don't think you can copy and paste your reviews into itunes anymore. This new store setup seems to be a step backwards.
Dont like it. But atleast the screenshots are now easier to see as they are loaded instantly instead of needing to click through them.
I really like it actually. Though I have not been used to the old format for nearly as long as any of you probably. The iPhone 3GS was my introduction to iTunes and the App Store, then they went up and changed it a couple months later, and now they're doing it again. Naturally I really don't have any attachment to the old way like some of you probably do, so I don't mind this update. Random, but very nice. I prefer Screenshots the older way, though.
Why in this new format do you have to always scroll over and click "more" to read the description. Obviously if I'm looking up the game the first thing I want to read is the description and then look at the screens. Terrible new design and setup.
I don't like the new format either but actually I disagree on the screenshots' setup. I think it's a pain having to side-scroll in order to see all the pix from left to right. If I had a Mac which supports the two-finger scrolling on the mouse pad, it wouldn't be such a big deal b/c my PC laptop doesn't support that... Besides that, the new App Store format won't even load right on my WinXP laptop - the app page's formatting is off and clicking on 'Buy App' to purchase something doesn't even work... Thanks a lot, Apple.
Yes you can. In fact it is better and more responsive. For example. the text wouldn't refresh when deleting a space in a paragraph
I like it due to the much cleaner interface. All the essential info on the left, app details to the right, including screenshots and reviews. There's also links to other apps by the same dev, alongside the basic info. And you can now create a wish list of apps/games by clicking the arrow next to purchase. Thats a useful feature. It'll be interesting to see how devs see it. It puts a lot more emphasis on the icon, screens and 1st few lines of the description. @freedog windows = ctrl c then ctrl v mac = cmd c, then cmd v
