He's probably on a 3G 8GB...which is really a 2G. An actual 3G is almost as fast as a 4G. In shader tests it's actually over twice as fast as the 4G, but that's another issue.
no i was using a 32 g 3g it was a legit one with 256 mb of ram its slower in practice, especially in non-retina games a bit faster in infinity blade
Well yeah that makes perfect sense. In a non-retina game the 4G has the extra CPU and memory bandwidth leverage to help out but in Infinity Blade it is alos doing 4X as much work as the 3G.
Well in some cases 3g touches are faster than the 4gs because the 3g touch doesn't have to process the retina graphics
If you have both, do a speedtest. Whichever loads the same app first with no background processes open wins >
I agree. I have both 3g 4g. One example to look at is NOVA 2. The 3g loads about a second fater when joining a map (I use Space which is the biggest I think) Also, the framerate is a little faster in the 3g. But overall, I prefer playing with the retina. The draw distance in 3g is crappy compared to the retina. Oh, one more thing. The menus are a bit different if you compare both.
I think the 4th gen iPods lag more in NOVA 2 multiplayer than a legit 3rd gen. I don't know why, but whenever someone with a 4g joins a lan game with 2g and 3g ipods, it has connectivity issues...
Gameloft said an online centered modern combat game is in the works i would bet on that being with the ue3 engine.
You're not talkin about the game they already released for the PS3 are you? Or is this a different one...
Iphone 3GS has a slow CPU with 600MHZ and iPhone 4 has 1GHZ. You can think whatever you want but the CPU power is used in games too. Not just GPU.
If you say the iPhone 4 has a 1 GHz processor, well the iPhone 3GS actually does have a processor that is somewhere between 800 and 850 MHz, but like the iPhone 4 it is underclocked. That is a PS3 game (Modern Combat: Domination was it's name I think) and it isn't for iOS.
"Standards for opening a thread"?! Seriously? Dude get over yourself. Go get a mug of coffee or tea or booze and sit for a minute. Relax for a few minutes and recentre yourself.
