Great idea for a thread. I also haven't heard of most of those games, but I wanted to comment on Shift. I did really enjoy the idea of the game, and I enjoyed playing through it... sorta. I just thought it was poorly designed in that there was no sense of progression. One level is often wayyy easier than the level before it, and this happens randomly throughout the game. It's more of a collection of levels than anything. That's one game I really think could be considered a 'must-have' with just a little more work to make each level slightly harder than the one before. There also seem to be a few little 'tricks' throughout that appear randomly, rather than being introduced and then used in progressively harder situations. Just my two cents.
Tractor Beam - an EXTREMELY addictive and surprisingly fun high-score game based on dodging asteroids using nothing but tractor beams. It's very original and features 2 modes with 3 difficulty levels. Springball - A physics-based game involving bouncing various objects off of your floating head to score. Not amazing, but still worth playing. Snail Mail - a fun racer/shooter/platformer with a great sense of humor that lest you play as a snail who must complete his intergalactic delivery route while dealing with evil space slugs. It's also a great value, giving you 50 premade levels, additional challenge levels, a time trial mode, Openfeint, and unlimited randomly generated levels with different parameters you can set. Pathpix Pro - the best logic puzzle game on the App Store, with 300 puzzles, each of which uncovers a different picture.
It is a truly unique game. (correct me if I am wrong) Maybe it just caters to a niche selection of gamers? I for one, hover between hating it and loving it...depending on how tough the level is.
Have people already mentioned Eliss and Enviro-Bear 2010? Eliss is pretty much the best puzzle game on the iPhone, and Enviro-Bear 2010 involves bears in orange automobiles. HOw can people miss that?
Sure lol which games in particular did you get? also thanks for the users in the thread I bought a few new games like Psychoban, Pathpix, Marblenauts, Critter Crunch, World of Tunes, Atlantis: Sky Patrol, and some others listed in the thead.
I am interested in Pandemonium from this thread but the appstore has zero screenshots N/m.. found the thread
