Hybrid: Eternal Whisper. One of the best games out on iOS and yet only about 40 reviews and a fifth of the people completely hate because either they don't understand the story or can't figure out the controls. Slide to Play loves it though.
Lol, I've had the game since day one just like every other notable release out there..it's good yeah, but it's not that amazing. And, I've never heard an opinion like that about COD..the price is bad? Really? I bought it when each map cost an additional $4.99, making it the most expensive iOS game I own ($20 + tax), which is even more than FFIII, which cost $15.99 + tax. Now, you get everything for $4.99..if that's expensive, wow. The graphics are great..and the controls have been called the best offered by the iOS for a FPS..plus, the fan following is bigger than every iOS shooter combined together. Sluggish? This is the most intense and fast-paced FPS there is..Yeah, the thread is about underrated games, but Aftermath is by no means the best zombie game. Oh, so PvZ isn't good because it's not scary? I wonder why it earned GotY for 2010 by Apple out of the thousands upon thousands of offerings on the AppStore then. That's just your opinion that zombie games have to be scary.

Aftermath is by all means, the best. IMO, period. controls are ones of the best? have you played Nova? Modern Combat? even the bad BFBC2 controls are better, CoD wouldn't even be playable without autoaiming... the graphics are awful, how can you say they're great? that only proves the point that is overrated... and when games like Nova, and MC2 that offer console quality gameplay are at 6.99, CoD is WAY overpriced too...
Yep, Gamevil is always on target with mobile RPGs. The Hybrid series was definitely quite a bit of fun. At least they've gotten plenty of attention for their Zenonia series, which is debatably the most popular RPG series on the AppStore.
+1, yep. Was about to post that it's all opinion. So meh, it's whatever. @GZ: And yes, I've played every half-decent FPS on the iOS..of course I own all of those. No BFBC2 is not better, rofl. That game is pure shit. Okay, I'm done now.
Dont know if you can consider this underrated, but I find Blokus to be a very fun game that no one I know has ever heard of.

Great Little War Game, Tactical Warrior, Newton's Apples, Pilot Winds, Unpleasant Horse, Run Like Hell!, and a couple more that I forget...
Yeah, it's one of the few Gameloft games that never quite got too much attention. It's a pretty fun game modeled after the real board game. Wish the multiplayer worked better though.
Pilot Winds will always be better than Tiny Wings in my book, heheh. Definitely more fun. Wish it charted better.. GLWG and TW are pretty fun TBS games, but there's one that's even better that hasn't gotten much of a reception on the AppStore. It's been covered pretty well on TA and featured on Apple though. It just never charted for some reason...Tactical Soldier: Undead Rising, best TBS in my opinion, and one that doesn't make you want to go to sleep. The other games were all a little iffy for me.
I have that cause I won it on twitter, but I haven't played it yet. but it was featured by apple and got quite a few reviews. GLWG got almost no coverage except for a pre release thingy here and an apple feature. Tactical warrior got nothing, which is very unfortunate. BTW, I like tiny wings better, but Pilot winds is still a ton of fun.
Hmm, I see. Well actually, GLWG charted pretty well, especially after it went on sale. TL got no sales at all. Same with TW, which probably did even worse. Bleh..half of the game is advertising and making your app visible here on the AppStore. Just making a good game won't get you anywhere unless you already have a ton of visibility.
Yea, IDK about TS but TW had an upcoming thread and that's about it. It got a STP under the radar feature but that's it.
Aftermath, Infinight, Rythmatic and Doodle Squares HD are great. COD: Z underrated, guys? You're kidding, right? That's the most overhyped overpriced piece of crap in the entire App Store. And that's coming from someone who considers COD 4 the best FPS ever.
