Hello, I am in process to make some games. Though the name of these games have already been fixed, but I am very much confused to set keywords for my game. The types of those games are action,arcade,puzzle,adventure etc. Here, I have a query about keywords. What are the keywords which people search a lot within App Store? How I get noticed to the app store users besides another apps with the help of keywords. I've heard people search a lot with some common words. But what are those? Do you guys have any suggestions about most searched general or special keywords used in Appstore? Thanks in advance! Greetings!
I personally don't think keywords have a big impact on your exposure. When ppl search to find you, they'll search by your app/company name. And when they do search for games, search terms are usually watered down and generic like, "puzzle game" or "physics-based game" or "artistic game" - keywords that have been so saturated, you'll be competing with thousands of others. So I suggest using words to simply describe your game and be as specific as possible.
It's also worth pointing out that all of your meta data is reviewed during the App Store review process, not just the app itself. If Apple think you're trying to pull a fast one by including a load of irrelevant keywords, they'll just remove them. Likewise if you put in a load of other popular game names if they have nothing to do with you or your app!
