    Hi all,

Thought you might be interested in some of the early lessons learned from swapping our 'About' screen out with a 'More Games' panel (MGP) in Sheepish (our pipe-based puzzler).

    Regards,

This is a great idea Peter. I don't think it's gimmicky at all, since it's optional to check the 'More Games' section, and you can assume if people liked your game enough to buy it they'd be happy to see more games from your company.

I've always found 'About' sections to be rather generic, but on your Sheepish screenshot there doesn't seem to be any copyright or legal notices ("All rights reserved." etc.). Are you including that in a different section? I've been debating about whether I want to include an 'About' section at all in my upcoming game. It seems like most of them contain individual credits, and since it's just me doing the programming, and hiring outside contractors for art assets, I might be better off just skipping it. But, I do think that I'll include a copyright notice just to be safe.

PS Enjoy reading your posts on the Pixelthis site. Keep up the good work! :D

Very interesting read, I agree with you HappyFuntime a button that says 'About' or 'Credits' reads to me like 'Skip me'.
