I'm thinking about picking this up, but the only real function I want it for is to let me upload movies to the 20GB storage space and watch them later. I've always wanted something like this and I just recently found the iDisk app and i thought it would be perfect. So I know it is quite pricey for 20GB so I thought I best ask here, if anyone can help with any alternatives? Free or paid. I only own an iPhone 3GS, but plan on buying an iPad soon, I also only have a Windows Laptop. Thanks
Check out Dropbox. You get 2GB free which will be more than enough to make sure it does what you want it to, there's an iPhone app as well as a sync program for every OS under the sun, a great web interface, and if you decide to sign up you get tons more space than MobileMe for the same price... Along with the option to pay monthly instead of yearly. I seriously love Dropbox, if you get in to it, it has some pretty advanced uses. For instance, I'm able to keep my iMac and MacBook Pro almost entirely sync'd up via Dropbox and they even offer a service called pack rat or something where they will do version control of your files so you can roll back to previous revisions like you can with Time Machine except it works on any computer and your phone. Yeah Dropbox is awesome, took me about 10 minutes of chatting to people on MSN and syncing to my other laptop to get me upgraded to 3GB of storage.
