The Character Creator will be released ahead of the full game. This will give you a chance to create your team and get ready for the battle. The expected release dates are as follows: Hero Machine (character creator) - Feb 1st (free app) Heroes Defense - March 1st (unknown price)
In my opinion since its an MMO you should have a 24 h launch sale to build the community then the 3.99 would be justifiable for people looking to buy it
I agree with you. I have to talk it over with the team but perhaps we can do a 24hr sale at $0.99 to build our user base. However, keep in mind that the hero machine app will be free. So, you will be able to play against all of the teams created in the free app. Granted, they won't be very strong because the hero machine gives you limited attribute points.
If the 1st day doesn't work that well, you could increase the price by $1 everyday until it reaches the regular price. It's an option.
Keep in mind that you have to build a stable community with always people online - throughout the worldwide time zones. Otherwise there might be a small chance that the game quickly dies away, because nobody wants to play a MMO alone. I am really interested in this game, btw.
Everything is going well, just fine tuning gameplay mechanics. We played around with user controlled towers but logistically it's too difficult to play on a small screen. We decided to go with a castle shooting user control method. You first equip your towers and strategically place them on the map. When the battle starts, your towers shoot the runners automatically. You will control a cannon which sits atop a castle on the map. To shoot, tap on the map to aim and hold the shoot button to set your power. Essentially the game is a mix of Tower Defense and iShoot/castle defense.
Hi everyone, Here's a new screen from the beta version. There are still a lot of kinks to work out but the core game play mechanics are down. You will see a castle in the upper right corner of the screen. You use the power meter at the bottom of the screen to shoot a cannon ball at the runners. Your towers will thank you! What are your thoughts?
What do you mean exactly? The reason the Towers are all black and white and "generic" is because you actually design the towers yourself using our hero creator. For testing purposes we are using the default character.
Agreed, it looks terrible. Did you just take random public domain drawings and throw them together? Because that's what it looks like.
The same graphic designer hand drew the "ground" and "scenery" and characters. What looks different? The Castle?
I find that hard to believe, being as I remember seeing that giant in 3D Good Vs. Evil (another game with horrible mixing of graphic styles), and they don't look the same stylistically.
Ok, that's what I was wondering...it's the runner you have a problem with. The artwork for the scenery, map, and towers are all created by our graphic designers. We hired new designers for this game. Remember, this is a very different tower defense game. Your towers are also the runners. However, you are able to purchase "recruits" in the store which become part of your running team. Some of the recruits are similar characters to those found in the other game.
