the wholse point of any industry is to make money! and it wouldn't make a difference really, because all the negative reviews would be about how the release was delayed, not how the game sucks. @trolls and to put one star reviews, you still have to buy it, so if you really hate EA, don't buy their games. ok?
Of course, which is why it's ridiculous when people start to complain about these evil gaming companies and their money making schemes.
There is a difference between being annoyed by actions taken by a company and maybe making the decision to not buy the game vs. the whole "I hate how EA does this for profits" rant. As a consumer you have every right to be upset and vote against the decision by not buying the game, but it gets annoying when people start whining about how EA did this to make money. Of course they did!!
Ok but isn't it that in business the customer is always right? I mean would it not be better to give what the customer wants? Like there's less then a million people who have an ipad. And upon millions who have the iPhone. Would it not have been smarter to release the game for the iPhone as promised (especially when it was even announced and advertised before the ipad was even introduced). It's like a kick in the pants for those who own an iPhone. In order to make that money you guys keep talking about, you need customers. And if EA keeps doing things like this. Eventually they're gonna lose a lotta customers, no matter how good the game is. Funny thing is, they're most likely gonna charge 9.99 for it. I'm not gonna complain about price, but this shows that all they care about is money, rather then the customer. I just don't see that as proper business.
So...If EA honors their most recent word (and I can't imagine them doing otherwise), this game should be released on Monday? I mean, since it's the last Monday in April and all. Or can they choose to release it on any day of the week in April, assuming they're still planning to put it out this month?
This is one I am really looking forward to. Would be really cool if it comes out Monday but not gonna get my hopes up.
Firstly i & others don't have a problem with EA making money.Infact they could have priced this the same as their ipad version and i still wouldn't have complained. It's their constant lying and deception that turns me off.First they said they will release this jan then they said they would release this april.Still no sign of this game not because this isn't complete but because of their greed for more money.Again i don't have problem with them being greedy but where i do have a problem is them giving out false hopes abt a game's release only to delay it further thereby pissing it's customer's off!! You have no idea how frustrating it is to eagerly anticipate a game's launch only to learn that it's being delayed further as part of some stupid marketing strategy which i am sure will backfire because enough people will loose interest and more copycats will come along the way. if EA wanted to release this game much later then why the hell did they release the game play video back in jan and tweet that this game would release back then only to go back on it's word ?They did this more than once!! if the game was delayed because it wasn't complete like their earlier NFSU then it would have been fine with me.But that's clearly not the case here. The company has every right to decide when to release this game but it has no right to cont. lie to and deceive it's customers ,keep saying the game's ard the corner and deliberating choose not to release it. If acc. to you the company has the right to carry out these dirty tactics then we as customers have every right to use every measure at our disposal to get back at EA incl the itunes ratings system. I don't care if i give EA money by buying this game as long as there's a possibility to prevent others frm buying this game and thereby causing EA to loose money. And if i look like an idiot in the process then so be it. Below is just a sample of my post aprl review of this game "it's great fun for the first 15 min but it's too repetitive and you loose interest quickly and the game's not worth xxx dollars and wait for a sale". If this makes me look like an idiot then so be it Ofcourse it need not be this way if EA sticks to it's aprl time frame. But if they choose to delay it me and my friends are gonna make this an expensive mistake for EA atleast in our country(and some others where my friends reside). This tactics may not work in US but it surely will work in other app stores(esp the one in my country) where there are only a dozen reviews of a game at any point of time even though quite a substantial no of people do buy those games based on those reviews. And guess what those 12-15 reviews by me and my friends will be Again it doesn't have to be this way........It's entirely upto EAAll they have to do is stick to their prev. made commitments. If EA's tactics forces a lazy person like me to come up with a lengthy post then..........(you get the idea!)
Yea this game isn't nearly as impressive anymore. Look at what is gameloft is bringing to the table, Prince of Persia WW, for probably less than this glorified jumping game.
I agree. I'm looking much more forward to SC: Conviction, Iron Man 2 and Prince of Persia. Those have got me much more excited.
Obviously, you people still DO care or you wouldn't even both posting a comment. I am still waiting for this game. Granted, almost all my excitement is gone, but I will still purchase this when it comes out as long as the price is fair compared to it's content. It will just be another game I buy now as I have a bad taste in my mouth over this ridiculous wait time (the game was obviously put on the back-burner for other projects and picked up intermittently). I will still either enjoy the game or not, but all this is now an after-thought. Personally, I think EA made a bad move prolonging the iphone release this long after having announced a release for the beginning of the year. Poor marketing choices I suppose. 3, 4, and 5 month extended waits are not acceptable in my opinion. Not when the market can turn in a month and a competing company can put something else out that will capture that excitement instead and customer money.
Uh.. what? Sure, you can read minds. If I DID care, why would I post that I didn't care? What great logic you have there. EDIT: I'm not some ****ing 12 year old who teases the girl he likes, I'm guessing your mentality must be like that. EDIT 2: If I was still interested, why wouldn't I post something that says "Even though this has been delayed forever, I'm still looking forward to it"? Answer that.
seriously: 1. Rating the game badly, because they didn't release it when YOU wanted it isn't how you rate things. You rate a game on if it's fun, etc. How do you know they're not fixing bugs right now? 2. With NFSU they added content, that's why there was the delay. If you didn't notice they only showed pictures of the 1.st tow in the beginning. 3.How would not releasing ME help EA? It would more likely help apple with selling the iPad to people who are stupid enough to buy it for just ONE GAME.
