Oh, if he attacks EA, I don't think they will let him do that. They will strike back and knock him out of the ring ;)

Looks like you didnt get the joke. It was in reference to 'Duke Nukem: Forever', which has been coming soon since 1997.

I really hope that EA has not abandoned the iPhone version altogether, just so they could have an iPad exclusive product.

I really want this game for the iphone and actually would have paid the ipad price to get it. However, I will have my ipad in a few days, so I will just buy it for that.

Im giving this a one star regardless. You shouldnt delay a game so that you can make more money. Especially when the iphone version was completed and advertised way before the ipad. It was supposed to come out in January, but no, they delay the game because they made an ipad version. Now who knows when its going to be released...may most likely.

You're a fool. For at least three reasons that I can see.

    1) The only reason they made the game at all was in order to make money. Do you think they made it as a favor to you? You don't like it? Write your own game and give it away.

    2) Even though you are mad at their marketing tactics, you are still going to give them your money. Which is all they really want from you anyhow.

    3) Because you didn't get the game when you wanted it, you are going to screw with the ratings system to "punish them". And, if its great, you come out looking like a moron.

I am sure there are plenty more reasons why you are a fool, but those three stand out from your post.

Dude..I'm just really upset over the fact that I've been waitin for this game for so long. Since January. And it sucks because EA broke their promise a few times already on release dates. And all to make an ipad version, which they release before the iPhone. I'm getting the game because I've wanted it for so long. And yeah that whole rating thing is a dumb idea, I'll admit that. But what kind of marketing tactic is there when you put on hold a game which can be open to millions, as opposed to a version open to a few thousand? I understand making money, but then there's a thing where your too money hungry. But in the end I get it. I'm not gonna sabatoge their rating system. But at least see where I'm comin from

This game really just looks like a 3D slide scroller. Missing out on graphics and action. They should have made it like an FPS just like the PS3 version.

We are all annoyed at the delay. I have had three long trips since this was supposed to be out, and would have loved to have had it for each of them. But, its not out, so I played something else.

On the one hand you seem to be upset that they are delaying the game, just to make more money. On the other hand, you seem to be upset that they are sacrificing all those potential sales, just to sell to a smaller market. It can't be both.

Ultimately, its their game. After their hard work, they have a right to squeeze every penny out of it that they can. Who are you to tell them they have to give up money? That's the same argument as they should sell it for 99 cents even though people would pay $5. Cause people like a deal.

There's no such thing as too money hungry as long as you aren't tricking people into buying it. And the only choice you have is to not buy it if you don't like their price or delays.

I do see. You are excited for a great looking game. So am I. I suggest you go play something else for a while and before you know it, ME will be out for the iPhone. Or it won't. In any case, its just a game.

Your right. Your taking a mature perspective on this. As should I, but I guess I let my ego get the best of me.
I really hate the world of business lol. I just don't understand that if they don't keep their customers happy, how is their reputation going to improve? What happens next time they say the game will be out, and it doesn't. People will just lose trust in the company. Wouldn't a smart business do as they promise, and not (in this instince) work on ME for another platform?
In the end, your right. It's just a game. To me, it's always been the principle

The whole point of the gaming industry is to make money. You wouldn't have games to play if companies didn't pursue that goal.

Either way, at this point, it's almost better to just play this on the console. It can easily be found on the 360 or PS3 for cheaper than the iPad or what they'll likely charge for the iPhone version.

Is there a problem being annoyed, as a consumer, about a publisher saying one thing and doing another? On any other platform, they would have lost tons of sales by ticking people off. Imagine if they had made a Mac version and released it there on the day they promised the PC/360 version and then delayed the other versions "indefinitely". There are plenty of games of similar quality available on those platforms and the game would likely tank at release doing that.

They are doing the same thing here, except that the number of games with the (seemingly) high level of quality this game has is extremely low on the iPhone. If there were already somewhat similar game available with as high level of quality, nobody would even be interested in this game anymore.

I don't blame EA for making poor decisions regarding their games, but you also can't really blame their prospective consumers for being upset for how they've acted. If they DID get one-star-crashed it would be of their own making.
