Really? That sucks man. I saw it for the first time a few days ago. It reminded me of when I was eagerly waiting for the release of AMF Bowling and finally saw the "Coming Soon" thing on their site...game came along about a week later. In the case of "Mirrors Edge", it feels hopeless. I can't believe the games I am waiting for that we have NO grasp on - Mirrors Edge, Deliverace, Daredevil Dave, Pirates Gold, Revolt, Bruce Lee, Somersault.....the list goes on and on.....
Unfortunate but true Nice list of upcoming games BTW...waiting for mirror's edge, deliverance, revolt, bruce lee and splinter cell myself!
What I believe is, it is a EA sale strategy. What they did is put ME on iPad first, because there are less competitor on that platform & also they can sell it for more money. if they release the iPod/iPhone version right now, that may hurt the sale on iPad version. if you got iPad and iPod, and iPod version is selling $7.99 instead of $12.99, what you gonna do, you never know. so EA is not stupid, and they will release it in the right time and right moment. my 2cents
^^ if they wait too long for their " right time" people are gonna loose interest and some copycat will come along and take it's place. And then EA will have only themselves to blame. First they announce that this game will launch in jan , then they say it will launch ard aprl 12th and still it's not out!! I hope they do badly and learn a valuable lesson.Better still apple step in and lay some guidelines abt when to announce a game. I like the way gameloft does it's work.Even when there's a delay it's not by much!
dude, this statement is not only ignorant, but also pretty immature. its just a game, it will be out when its out. there are dozens of games released every day. you could easily occupy your time waiting with one of those. and im sure all the people who say, "this took too long, im not gonna get it now" will hit the purchase button the moment they see that it has been released. but to say," you hope they do poorly" cause there were some delays is just plain stupid. if things like that actually happen, then they might not bother with future games for the idevice platform. then, what would you cry about?
^^ No i never said they do poorly because there was a delay what i said was they do poorly because they intentionally chose to delay a game even when it was ready a long time ago and even after they promised they would release it at a set date and failed to keep up their word more than once.i would only call them greedy. if they are so bothered price then why don't they relase the iphone version for the same price and then later reduce it when they see fit to do so!
I understand where you are coming from. Unfortunately, many large "greedy" companies work this way. Holding finished product just to release it at the "right moment". I worked for a large company and I saw much of this myself (not a game company). We will never hear them say "It's finished, but we won't release it yet, because our books will be stronger if we hold off another 6 months". I am 34 years old, and I have always been the biggest crybaby when it comes to records and video games releasing. I will always whine about it I get too excited when I see a game that looks finished and suddenly I have to wait another "decade"...
hey, EA is not the only game company provide good games(see my current playing games), I never short of game to play, and there are ton of good games on the itune, just be patient... one day it will come.
And Activision's getting up there, even though only having two or three games out so far. What we need are some classics. Not sure which ones, just know we need some...
I think when people talk about iPhone 'classics', then refer to games that are unique to the device, such as Doodle Jump, Tilt to Live, Spider, etc, not games that are imitations of other consoles.
