I'll believe it when I se it. I played through the ipad version and I must say I was very impressed. For a game to use swiping gestures and be so much fun really was a nice thing to see. 9/10
somehow, i'm not so sure the iPhone version will be released in NZ, as the iPad version isn't on their appstore
Unless this is a US only release. The iPad version was released only in US. And if it's not today, it's some time this month.
EA uses two different developer stores for their games unlike most other devs. All their apps have different ids in US store and other international stores (my guess is that it gives them some sort of accounting advantages). Konami also does this and if you check out the Konami store in other iTunes store, you wont see Frogger Pad listed there (only app from konami which is iPad only) So it makes sense for them to not to release the iPad version of mirrors edge in other stores as iPad hasnt launched outside of US yet. So the argument that since Mirrors edge for iPad is only available in US store and it could mean ME for iPhone might be US only too, doesnt have much weight in it. That said, its upto EA only if they release Mirrors Edge in US only, but I really doubt that will be the case here as EA allows all its apps to release in both the US and International stores simultaneously. May be they dont want to lose the Mirrors Edge for iPad sales, coz if they release it now, everyone outside the US will be buying the iPhone version and not too many will be willing to buy it again once the iPad launches internationally. Just a guess. Otherwise considering the iPhone version was more than ready months ago, I dont see any reason why it couldnt be out yet.
See what I don't understand is there are about 100 times more iphones and ipod touches the ipads. People who own an ipad will probaly buy this game anyway. EA has so much money just waiting for them. Release the damn thing already or im not buying it. Just kidding but cmon already
Actually, there's something like 270 times more iPhones and itouches than iPads, so ya, I don't get making iPhone gamers wait either. It's been long enough. People who were going to buy the iPad version have. Even a simaltaneous release probably wouldn't have cut into iPad sales much at all because people who bought the iPad would want a shiny new game for their shiny new toy. At this point holding up the iPhone release is ridiculous. At the same time, I just really, really don't understand why companies find it so hard to provide a release date for finished iPhone games. Games for PS3, Xbox360, Wii have set release dates that they don't mind sharing with gamers, but companies making games for iPhone often seem to want to hide the release date as much and as long as possible, even when the game is ready and they know exactly when they're going to release it. Makes no sense to me.
So true. I just don't understand it. WTF happened to the Zombie game from gameloft. This is getting ridiculous. Now splinter cell was supposed to be released tomorrow night. Lets see what happens
I hope this is out soon. I bought the console version so I wouldn't have to buy this, but it made me want more super awesome stylish parkour! But about Gameloft's Zombie Infection, no worries. Gameloft does the EXACT thing with releases every time. I'm really suprised you guys haven't seen the pattern. They have a month where they release games, then an off month. The first Monday of every month they release a small, normal game. In feb they released pocket chef, this month they released that fishing game. The next week it's a slightly bigger game. Feb Rayman 2 and splinter cell this month. Then the next week they release their biggest anticipated game of the month. Aka- BIA 2 in feb and Zombie infection this month. Then the last week of the month they put out the podcast. Does that make any sense to you guys of the pattern?
100%... No. But would I say 90%? Yes. There's always a chance that the developing team ran into an issue with say, copyright, but Gameloft has followed this pattern for quite a while now. They even did that in December with a couple of their games leading up to NOVA. It's a pretty brilliant strategy actually. If they released new games every month then people wouldn't end up buying the old games because a new one is coming around the bend. One more thing I remembered. Gameloft always puts out a lite version and puts their old game on sale right around 2 months after release. Maybe I've just come up with this theory on my own, but I'm certain that Zombie Infection will be out later this month. They wouldn't want it compeiting with splinter cell. But on topic! In the iPad version of mirrors edge what's the color scheme like?On the console version it was way cool running into buildings that were straight white and orange, or white and lime green. It was a pretty stunning game that I love. Hopefully this lives up to my expectations!
Probably just that multiplayer is splitscreen on the iPad and will be over blutooth if it's on the iTouch. Hopefully it's about the same though, except for the price.
I'm prepared to drop $10 easily for this game. May need to reconsider if higher since I'm thinking of how to use my $25 itunes card best, and I want to get Tony Hawk 2, and warpgate, gonna see the price of it this tuesday when its released.
