Mirror's Edge works on iPad on iPhone / iPod Touch. The game itself will determine what this device. So the game Mirror's Edge already out on the iPhone
You know, as the game is actually called: "Mirror's Edge(tm) for iPad" I doubt it would work on an iPhone.
Hey, I was just reporting -- don't kill the messanger. In any event, the same thing has been said about Mirror's Edge 2D (the Flash version). This is not an iPhone vs console thing; it's a 2D platforming vs 3D FPS platforming issue. Personally, I never really enjoyed the bits of platforming you had to do in Half-Life (as an example), so I see their point.
Because Half-Life is a game that is terrible for platforming. Have you even played Mirror's Edge on a PC/Console? Because you're not allowed to have an opinion if you haven't. Sorry if that post was somewhat snide and sarcastic. I'm watching Zero Punctuation right now
I've only played a bit of the demo, so you are right, I shouldn't have an opinion. And I don't -- I was just reporting the opinions of others. Nevertheless, I prefer to see developers rethink games for portable platforms rathe than just developing a bland recreation of the original (like AC for the PSP).
I can't even look at any HD games on my iPhone , says request could not be completed. So I doubt any game that has an HD in it's description will work on anything but an ipad.
Devs are supposed to be able to make both the iPod and iPad versions work on the same sku. I also received the Parachute Panic update last night, adding the dual functionality, among other improvements. Evidently, the new icon uses the HD moniker in its title, but works just fine on the iPod. This is not to say that any iPad specific game will work on the iPod, but having the HD titled game on the iPod does not require jailbreaking or anything funny.
