I meant during the time of it's release it wasn't worth it's full price. $3.99 for it at that time would have been forgivable. Like I said, buyer's disappointment for a high priced game.
LOL you still don't understand my post. It was released $7.99 the day it was released and I bought it at that price. Reread my couple posts again and I hope it clicks.
They managed a fully 3D variant of MGS on the N95 ages ago, the iPhone has way more grunt and with a bit of thought they could have a perfectly acceptable control scheme. This crappy shooting alley type game has all the hallmarks of a free flash game (I'm sure there was a very similar one on their website ages ago) - if you buy this you're a chump.
Learn to read people! Would have been = something that had NOT OCCURED but if it had It's still the best in its genre (tap to shoot) with fantastic presentation. It was massively overhyped and Konami is also responsible for overselling it against what the franchise is known for. $3.99 would have been a fair starting point. To finally drop the price now I'm still not considering it just in spite of the fact that they did it all wrong in the first place. VR Missions port would not have been an issue. Hell, I'm already playing it on my PSX emu. Konami, Capcom, Sega, and SquareEnix have all failed really hard on the iPhone. If I were just a bit nerdier I would be crying right now because these are some of my favorite developers. Hell I'm sigging that They're getting pinksocked by indie developers. Just goes to show you what people who aren't big greedy companies (there's a difference between making enough to live off of and doing what you love and just ignoring quality for the sake of maximizing profit and screwing the consumer) who have a platform they can afford to develop on can do. If anything for that reason alone I would wish the iPhone/iTouch be the most successful gaming platform in history (I know, fat chance).
True. A few months ago this game would still be redeemable if priced low but these days with all the quality games shooting left and right, even putting this on the $2.99 shelf is a bit hilarious. Konami knows they failed on MGST and they're doing their last chance of milking this, thus waking up the neighbors announcing they'll have a price drop soon. As Bat Outta Hell asked on the first page, who the hell does that anyway. Totally shameless and downright sad.
Hmmm.....pocketgamer has late-breaking news about an upcoming Konami sale... It's deja vu all over again! "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I'll believe it when I see it...
Yeah, shamefully they have been terrible. I really wanted to like MGS Touch, I think it was because of the name, but I mean the game is a polished wannabe, they want to give you the idea that it's a polished game, but all it is are cutouts from the actual game, that doesn't take much effort. I played the lite version and got bored of it really quickly. But like I said, I really did WANT to like it.
Sale This is really pathetic why don't they bring it down to a dollar or two? And only a two day sale? REALLY? How stupid are you?
Okay if it was in the top 100 for a while do you know how much money when they make any sale, if they made it a dollar they may sell more but get less money. Its all about the money they make
Lol, even at $2.99 I still don't know if I want it. It just wasn't that fun. Edit: The lite version that is.
I dont think its bad, but with a big brand such as konami we expect big things and big things it does not deliver but still a good game nonetheless
