that's probably the best thing that ever happened to him. that game owns, and he had one extra day to play it. you my friend, are the one who lost out.
This was maybe the first game I bought for my iPod, or at least one of the first, and it's still my favorite shooter. It's fantastic, basically perfect, and keeps getting better with each update. 99 cents for this is a no-brainer, as is $2.99.
Wow, a lot of people have been downloading Meteor Blitz since the sale started, so we decided to keep the sale running for a bit longer
Still the best dial stick shooter out there --- by far. I just need more levels now. Would pay for that.
I just played this for the first time since the last update and I've got to say, it's just ridiculous how amazing this game is. The blur effects from the boost and the time slow are so cool, and there are even more control options now. On top of that, the frame rate is so slick and there's no more slowdown on my 2G! Every time I play this, it's just nuts how intense and fast it is, how well it controls, how good it looks. Best arcade game there is, best shooter by a mile. Hyperbole is impossible when you describe this game.
Don't like to "double-dip" but when my iPad 3G gets delivered, I'm so buying this again specifically for that platform. Does anybody have experience of this game on the new device?
Here's the thread that's been tracking the iPad version of Meteor Blitz HD: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=56730 So far, most everyone seem pretty happy with it, and we're submitting an update later this week that will address the common feature requests.
I just bought Meteor Blitz and of course it's amazing, but I'm a bit worried about the longevity of the arcade mode... I've already completed the first two worlds in about half an hour... Do you find that you cone back to arcade mode after you've completed it, or do you just tend to play survival instead? Also, if I quit from Arcade mode will my total score be lost? Epic game still
i always play survival. i've yet to bother with finishing arcade mode also, what are you guys' highscores in survival? mine is 214494.
There's an arcade mode? j/k.. It seems I have a mission tonight.. 214494? hah... let's see what I can do about that...
Arcade is much more difficult the second time through. In addition to being faster, the spawns become ridiculous, the rocks take more damage, and the need to change weapon type becomes more pressing. So if one needs a break from survival mode but finds arcade too easy, one can always begin a new game at world 6 and play through several worlds from that point.
whats wrong with that? *reads again* still dont see it... *reads once more* OHHHHH... well... that too...
