this game is still the bees knees. Haven't had the heart to delete it cause I come back to it and have fun still. -ex
Love the game but I am also one of the ones who can't seem to do very well at the later levels. I'm still trying though because I really enjoy the game. One question I had though was what determines progression through a level? I remember reading in a post that the bonus pops up twice in a level while do you have the exact same number of enemies per level or do you have to kill X number of enemies to make it to the next level? I also remember reading a suggestion where if users picked the option to shake to use a bomb we should have option of making the bomb button used for a boost which I think is a good idea.

...and there's no way to turn it off.. unless I'm missing something. Hey developers, awesome game, seriously the best out there (IMO), but PLEASE can we have the option to turn OFF the gravity gun?
Oh okay, we'll look into that for the next release. Is it because you don't like using the gravity gun? Or because you prefer to have finer control over when it's turned on?
@Drucifer We've added a Stage Select screen which will hopefully help you progress through the later, harder levels. Now, when you start a new game, you can start in the middle of a world, instead of always at the beginning. In arcade mode, the enemy patterns are fixed. So to get to the end of the level, you just need to progress through the waves. And we're also working on a button for the boost, hopefully that'll be in the next release.
WOW.. quick reply... ...I'm seriously impressed that you're still supporting this game, even though it's been out such a long time (in Appstore terms). Great job! To be honest, I've not needed to use the gravity gun - I've managed to get into the top-twenty on the leaderboards without it. But, I know others who swear by it. Perhaps I can't get used to it? Anyway, the option to have it switched off would be awesome. Pleeeeeease? Oh, and on a side note - are you guys working on anything else that you'd care to share with us at TA?
This is something I've been wondering about for quite some time. Meteor Blitz is probably permanently on my device, and I've had it since the month it launched. I doubt there will ever be a better dual-stick shooter released for the device. I'm hoping Alley Labs continues to contribute to the app store for a long time to come.
Things I've noticed in the update: Weapons balanced (example: green lasers are awful against ice meteors now, which makes flame more necessary) Slow powerup time increased, so it isn't something I groan about getting now Three gravity gun levels instead of two There might be more, but this is what I've noticed from one game. Awesome update, it brought me back to Meteor Blitz.
OMG. just when i was feeling everyone forgot about this game. an update! thats great! would love to see more ship customization (skin) hope to see more updates in the future! gooooo~ developers!
Do the devs plan to clean the leaderboards? With this new weapon balance I can hardly score half of the points I could before. I find the survival pretty tough. But maybe I am just lame. (probably)
What an update to an incredible game! Its still one of my top-enjoyed games, and this update is bringing this back to the forefront. I've never had the chance to post in this thread, but now is my time to congratulate the developer. Thank you for this game, and for supporting it with an excellent update
Okay... this may be just a small thing, but I'm so totally stoked - v1.4 is out and they fixed something! Game on!
damn this game only gets better. first they improve grav gun controls, and now they add better effects and increase the framerate? can this get any better/???
I agree, this is still one of my favorite App Store games. And just when you don't expect it they release an update.
