I was just going to mention that it's surprising not to see it in the top 100 apps. Wow, first panel of "new and noteworthy" and first panel of what's hot - that's top billing. No excuse for the app to fail now. Meteor Blitz is all the better for being small and portable. I don't think it would be any better on a ps3, in fact. Congrats to the devs and good luck fending off any naysayers, which will be meatpuppets for other devs. Sho-ryu-ken for MB. -lukeb
I imagine its headed into the top 100 given being featured by apple and so far a 5 star rating. I plan to purchase this weekend.
I think this game is great, and I apologize if this has already been addressed (long thread), but is there any hope of a lower difficulty setting option in future updates? I think the game is great, as I said, and I keep coming back to it regardless because its the perfect mobile game, but Stage 4 has helped me come to the realization that my skills are not up to snuff and I have no hope of seeing all of the upgrades or completing the arcade mode at the normal setting, particularly if Stages 5 and 6 increase in difficulty. A lower difficulty setting could do something simple like add a few extra lives. You can make it so your scores don't count if you play on an easier difficulty -- none of that matters to me anyway. I just want to be able to finish. I hope this is under consideration and sorry again if this has already been discussed.
MB just broke into the top 25 arcade games, edging just ahead of Pacman. You could call it the first important milestone in the app store after getting featured. I'm also interested in knowing whether there are any factors that influence the multiplier besides points. It's hard to pay attention to such things when so much is going on at once.
I've only had about a week with the game, and must say, it's really great. Blows isotope to shreads. Shreads I tell you!
And that's what makes it so great. I don't have to worry about saved files and such. I can just go for a quick run straight from the beginning through all the hardcore arcade action.
That's fair enough They're both good games, but I've got a ton of pick up n' play shooters, so I'm glad Isotope has more of a career mode I can work on.
Really glad to see this game getting featured and cracking the top 100 at 70 right now this game really deserves it , its so polished and smooth and plays so good I'd hate for the devs not to be rewarded for such a good game. Hopefully it gets in the top 10 at some point even for just a little bit.
Ha! I'd like to see you pass 1.19 million >=D It's hell trying to survive to keep the 10x multiplier alive.
Ok, got the game. I am pleased with it. A couple questions: (1) does my ship take damage, or is it just shields that are getting wacked? Am I missing a damage meter somewhere? (2) the button to switch different types of bullets doesnt seem very responsive, am I doing something wrong? (3) when do I earn bombs? How many do I get? (4) I am getting a lot of crashes, I know others get them too, but I'm getting a lot on my 3gs, even got some shortly after a reboot. (5) do ice bullets work better against the redish ship spinny things, or just the red asteroids?
