Ghost power up where you can either go through enemies or possess one and control it til its health disappears. Football grenade. Robo mech suit that is invincible for a short period of time and shoots rockets. Golf club that lets you smack enemies into the air causing them to fall onto their comrades. Also Bubble Gum that lets you fly over the enemies and avoid danger for a short period of time.
Another brainstorm - either MAx spits it out (better) or fires gum (brief effect weapon) that slows down the aliens that step on it.... And since I am on a roll - a weapon that shoots iTouchs at the aliens, and they all stop to start playing games (probably Max Adventure ) again making them easy targets... (probably not feasible - the iTouchs would not be able to be rendered well)
I didn't mean all dual-stick shooters. I meant some particular ones. If you're saying I don't like them, you're crazyyyy. I'm in love with them! Yeah, Minigore was the one in mind, but I didn't want to say it as i was scared I would receive some criticism.
Wow, some amazing ideas here! Haha that would be hilarious. Ooh I like the area effect idea. A weapon that confuses aliens could be really funny. And a roller skate power up! Cool stuff! Haha love the robo suit that shoots rockets. Very Iron Man. Really like the flying one too... although it would be pretty much impossible to shoot from up high, given how we wrote the engine. Oh hey - slowing down the enemies, that's a neat idea. Haha how funny would it be to see the aliens playing out their iTouches? Another nice one!
Unless already suggested: Scary Mask: Will frighten aliens for a brief period of time before it falls of Max in pieces. Nice in the fact that it will give you some breathing room but has a bit of a downside since it might be harder to squash them while they're actively running away/hiding from you. Piece of Chalk: Only good for one use and no idea how this would work interface wise, but it would allow you to draw a chalk line that aliens can't cross for a few seconds (or at least will need to go around). Toilet Brush: Doesn't actually do damage but will allow you to keep aliens from getting too close in front of you (they can still try to come from behind or flank you). Keeping aliens at bay through its sheer "ookyness".
minigore was amazing. then they had to f*ck it up with furries on crack and terrorist furries. i'm like wtf.
yeah they killed minigore for me too but this game looks great i love the idea of slowing down aliens and they bust out an itouch or maybe if theres a group an ipad lol or iphone and they talk on it LOL
I love the toilet brush idea.... although you probably could use it as a close in weapon - one hit kill - explodes the alien into a big pile of $hi....
Sure, but I was keeping it clean and letting the player as well as aliens just have to wonder, "Was this brush actually used or is it just scary thinking it MAY have been used for such a nifty function?"
And after all - it is Natty that is doing the development - and she looks too wholesome to be involved with that...

The trick is to NOT use any of our specific ideas but their own ideas our inspired so they don't have to give us credit! Also, even if they're open to them I'll bet it will be the classic deal of promising nothing, seeing how sales go, and then if it actually looks like it might go somewhere start working in some of our ideas that held up after their own internal prototyping (beyond simply being a matter of IF they can implement our ideas, they need to make sure none of them really break the game's "fun" factor).
What about some kind of bubble wand or gun that would encase the aliens in a bubble and whisk them away for a brief time? Or a super-soaker kind of gun that would spray an extremely high-blast of water.
I like the toilet wand idea ahaha or a super fart that blows back/damages/kills the aliens, and you can upgrade it by eating beans or I'm just being childish
