I would recommend Labyrinth 2. It's pretty pretty fun, but will get you frustrated easily if you play the hard stages.

How is Helsing's Fire? I had never heard of it until now and looked it up on the appstore and it looks interesting. If you can, could you give me your impressions of it?

Thanks I'll be getting edge for sure. I might get 9 innings as well.

I will probably get Labyrinth 2 as well. Helsing's fire is in my top 5 puzzlers (more of an action puzzler I guess) for sure after playing it for 20 minutes. The art style looks iffy at first from screenshots (really like it now), but this game is definitely going to be on my device for a long time. It already had me thinking and struggling 15 levels in, but so far, nothing I could not beat in a few minutes. Easily one of my better buys of that list of games I got.

    Helsing's Fire is highly recommended.

The game itself might not stand out at first, but the gameplay is highly unique and addicting. The difficulty is just right, and I had a blast with it. Definitely check it out.

Okay, one question on 9 innings that's been bugging me a ton: what's the difference between the full and free versions? I can't tell anything but Game Center atm...any help? If there's a decent difference besides, I'll probly grab it now since I'm a huge baseball fan (e.g. read my nickname) :D

in that case, angry birds rio shouldn't be on there either. and tiny wings is the better game anyways. IMO, tiny wings deserves a spot. but not abr. :p
Life and monopoly are good buys for a dollar when they go on sale if you have friends to play with. single player is the same, but not as fun.

You might as well download the Lite first to not only check out what features it has, but also to see if you like the game or not. From there you can decide whether to spend the .99 or not, but personally, I'd highly recommend it.

Isn't Monopoly by EA single player plagued by a rigged AI?

That's what I've been hearing. Might have to go with life instead. I used to play the board game a lot more than monopoly anyway.

I read injuwarror's post and I got the same idea: to pick up some games that I missed. I'm thinking of getting all the good platformers that, for some reason, I just didn't get when they were released, like LoE, Mos Speedrun, Kami Retro(?), Storm in a Teacup, and maybe 1-bit Nina (I've heard it's not great). I think I'll also get Helsing's Fire. There's probably some other big games that I've missed, but I'm trying to save about $15 for Final Fantasy Tactics. Any opinions about the games I've listed and/or ones that you would recommend?

You should definitely get LoE and Helsing's Fire. I haven't played Mos Speedrun, Kami Retro, or Storm in a Teacup, so I don't know about those. In my opinion 1 bit ninja isn't that good of a game. Also if you don't already have it, Frogatto is a pretty good platformer.

I disagree. Like or hate, there's no hiding the fact that it's a great physics game that manages to do everything correctly.

Yep. I remember downloading the Lite version a long time ago and I don't remember winning one game. :p

Here's a list of the game's in order of what you should get first to last:

    - League of Evil
    - KAMI RETRO
    - 1-Bit Ninja
    - Mos Speedrun

Skip on Storm in a Teacup. It's not as great as everyone says...

Yep Frogatto's on sale at 99c as well. i got it a not to long ago, and it controlled great. I got the feeling that it was a big game based on the first few levels, but i'm not sure what the actual content is.

I'd put League of Evil and Mos as the first two (the frogatto), as they are the two best and most generic (used as a compliment here) platformers. Also, I must recommend Diablo Dice if you like dice games or are even interested due to the amount of time I put into it recently. Also, Jet Car Stunts is a must from the games I got. I am also really liking Mirror's Edge right now, just feels so right on a touch device.

I don't think I have bought to many games released before 2010. Anyone still have some on their devices they might recommend as still must buys?

These aren't on my device anymore, but they released before 2010 and were great:

    - Cro-Mag Rally
    - Fieldrunners
    - MC: Sandstorm
    - Real Racing
    - Rolando
    - Rolando 2
    - Battle Bears
    - Eliminate Pro

Yeah well I have all of those except for Cro-Mag (Have Sonic and both Crashes), fieldrunners (never could play a single TD since the Creeps, which i finished), and eliminate (have archetype, Nova, Nova 2, etc). Thanks, but I guess I am looking more for the puzzlers and smaller name games that were great back then, but just did not have the traction to stay very noticeable.

Also, like I said in an earlier post, I'm trying to not spend too much money because I'm saving about $15 for Final Fantasy Tactics. Do you think that is about the price range it will be? I know that FF3 is $15.99, so I'm guessing that's about how much FFT will be. If I have enough money after FFT comes out, would you recommend FF3? I'm hoping it will go on sale. I wonder how much it will cost if it does go on sale.

get LOE an Mos NOW. I haven't played kami yet but I have it. :p 1-bit ninja is okay, it's hit or miss for most people. and SiaT: I deleted it even faster than I deleted foodies: really really really really really really fast. save your money there.
uhh the reason I hate it is because it does a lot wrong. or else I wouldn't hate it. well, actually, I don't have rio, but it's more of the same with cages over pigs and better graphics, right? but it's not really great, and it doesn't do everything correctly. so your fact is false/and opinion. but I don't wanna go all pro fatty rant on you.
    BATTLE BEARS FTW!!!

and eliminate was the shit, but now if you own any other fps, you don't want to waste your time.

haha phattest, really angry at those birds. Not going to disagree with you, as I can also recommend 50+ puzzlers better than angry birds, but as I do own them all, I would have to see Rio is my favorite by far.

And after playing now over 30 levels of helsing, it is easily my favorite puzzler second only to WoG (duh, but I don't even bother categorizing it, just my favorite ios game now). This is the type of game (Helsing) you have to wonder how it is not in the top 50 at least. Simply does everything right, and one of the only games that the dialogue got me to lol a few times for real.
