... call it a split in opinion would ya?
    Group 1:
    Great graphics
    Great controls
    Great port, works on iOS

    Group 2
    Awful graphics
    Awful controls
Awful port, shouldn't be ported to iOS

    ... decide for yourself......

Too bad it's only the iPad version that's releasing. It will still be crazy though with Pocket RPG and Deadlock coming out at about the same time.

Definitely excited for some new Crescent Moon titles. Wasn't too big of a fan of Gears, but I still love their games. Grabbing both Deadlock and Pocket RPG as soon as I can.

    I'll pass on Ninjammin, lol.

Swords and Soldiers is an awesome game, and worth the $2.99.

    Don't get Color Bandits.

I can't believe there's people complaining about Deathsmiles. It's CAVE's best title so far, and that's really saying something considering their titles are excellent.

As a huge iOS Street Fighter fan who has never played King of Fighters, would the KOF game that just came out be worth the 8 bucks? Can anyone convince me to buy this game instead of a whole bunch of cheaper games as the last purchase I make before I go to Egypt and lose any means of connecting to the internet for a whole month??

I've got $10 left and was debating over whether I should get swords and soldiers, hector, and something else, or just this game.

I quite like the KoF games, but I wouldn't really recommend them to people who don't already consider themselves a fan.

I've barely even looked at Deathsmiles yet, because I'm in group 2 as far as graphics are concerned. I can't stand the mess CAVE shooters turn into during the porting process, it's hideous.

Also, not pointing any fingers here (because I don't know the answer), but is it possible the people who call it a bad port are the ones who played it on 360 and the others don't actually know the difference and so consider it a great game?

Hehe, never played the 360 game and for me the price is too high for that style of game....(for me, of course, being a cheap skate and such). Not too much liking the games of this week, so I'm gonna buy some older games :D. Okay, not too old, but still. From what I'm hearing, Max and the Magic Marker is a really good buy, but there's a few I haven't heard much on around (maybe becuase I've been on the site less than a month...). Diversion, Titus, and 9 innings (still, not sure if I like the graphics on that one or know what the full version has over the free version, but i am a huge baseball fan...) I'm on the fence on, and Call of Mini Zombies, PGJTU, Aralon, Archetype (already have nova 2, so...), and Trenches. Along with that, I'm wondering this: were there any great releases missed by the craze of some of the well-known releases? Thanks

Oh yes, I took the time to look at the pictures and the stilled graphics look quite bad indeed... even for pixel art...

HOWEVER! In my humble opinion and experience, pictures NEVER display the full glory of pixel art - it's the animation that matters.
Anyway, it's a bullet hell so you will probably be too busy looking at bullets, your character and enemies to notice anything else right?

Just played foodies.... Got through 20 levels and deleted. Idk what it was, but the whole time I was playing, I had no fun and was looking forward to deleting it. I just didn't enjoy it at all. 2.5/5 and I was hoping it would be really good too....

How's Qu-bit btw? It looks pretty good, but I'm wondering on gameplay. Also: was anyone else locked out of the site for like 20-30 minute? It kept giving me weird error messages and then a three word phrase each time. And there are no posts in that sector of time...

Yeah, it was very dissapointing IMO as well. Not very fun, okay puzzles, decent music/sounds, average graphics.

Only got through 10 levels here. Not sure what the writers were so hyped up about about when the game first came out. It was mediocre at best.

Pretty sure it's just a case of your opinion not matching everyone elses :p

I rated Foodies really highly and I still feel the same way. It's different in its approach, the graphics are awesomely colourful and plain fun to look at and I'm enjoying all the little challenges it throws at me. I just love the physics I guess, planning the angles, forces and trajectories... that stuff does it for me. I love having to be precise in order to perfect a bounce and get the best score possible, it's like an art form. I really should go and finish it... such a pleasing game to play, especially when I nail three candles after struggling for a while.

Have you seen the UI?! The menus! Oh, the menus!

Didn't quite see the physics. I'm a huge fan of physics puzzlers myself, but that game just didn't do it for me. If that's what the game's meant to be, the approach might have been a little too radical for me. I love games like iBlast Moki, World of Goo, etc. where you get to think it through first. Real-time puzzlers aren't my thing I guess. However, Foodies really doesn't fall under that genre for me and just felt like another very disposable and generic $0.99 casual game. Liked the graphics and music though. Not a fan of iOS casual games anyways xP. Don't tell me I'm playing the wrong platform!

Didn't I read earlier that Jenga was Game of the Week? Well, it's showing Swords & Soldiers as GotW for me.

Agreed. I bought it a couple weeks ago, played about 30 levels, and never bothered to play it again. It bored me to death.
