I actually liked war of eusrath better. I don't know why, highborn just didn't do it for me. It never really got me engaged.

Well, let's see. I was totally hooked on GDS, didn't get into HSS, and now I am hooked on Pocket Academy. If that doesn't convince you, in Pocket Academy you can use portrait or landscape view. You can zoom in and out using simple pinch gestures. Those are two welcome additions to the series.

The game involves building structures for you school, you can improve them based on what other buildings they are near and by building scenery like plants and trees. Students and Teachers earn research points by participating in activities. These are used to research new facilities.

Students can be tested in 5 different areas, passing the tests will raise the tuition rates for you students.

Teachers can be hired, fired, and upgraded (leveled up). This uses research points and raises that teachers salary.

The game requires you to be very smart with money management at the beginning. In fact, I played for about an hour, went into the negative dollars. Then I decided to start over since I understood the game so much more and could be better with my money.

Overall, an easy recommendation for anyone who loved GDS. If you didn't like the other Kairosoft cames then steer clear of this one.

Edit: Oh and when you start the game, you have a list of school to choose from, so this could possibly provide more incentive to replay the game many times.

Pssssh. College is for partying and meeting chicks not for studying! Most universities have at least a 60/40 girl/guy ratio, meaning you have no reason not to be talking to chicks. Now the ratio at some parties can be more like 1 girl and 50 dudes, but those should be avoided at all costs.

Fact is, you'll have a lot more free time in college than your going to have AFTER college. Enjoy it while you can!

Now if your going to some super duper Ivy League school, then my little rant there might have no bearing at all. There's a reason I decided to go to grad school at an SEC school. The place is just littered with hot chicks, its pretty incredible.

Yup, but as PG is really critical(but good) with their reviews, platinum is amazing still!

I think it's worth a try. I was the exact same way, not ever playing a game in this genre before, but bought it. I think it's a great game. For the price, you might as well try it, but hurry, because the price will go up every day.

I liked the lite for Zen Bound 1 and will likely pick up the full version of Zen Bound 2 since I hear it's got improvements over the original. Any reason to pick up the original on top of sequel? I'm not sure I need that much Zen even if they are both on sale.

Agreed. War of Eusrath is awesome.
Lol. I never said it was because I was going to utilize all my time studying. That doesn't mean I won't be going to an ivy though. There'll be plenty of partying, no worries. There's hot chicks everywhere bro, just fewer in some places xP.

The Dungeon Saga is indeed awesome. Like I said some pages back, I like the game even after having not liked DR or PQ. The girlfriend is in love with the game as well for some reason -_-. Amazing Breaker looks really good. Definitely missed the thread. Will probably check it later once Apple's featured list comes out.
