I'm betting 1-bit Ninja will be a worthy addition to the list in time. It's too new at the moment to make any rash decisions but once people stop crying and the retro fans start getting into it... Pocket Frogs and Tiny Tower are obvious omissions. Best use of the freemium model not just on the App Store, but anywhere in my opinion. Both awesome games for collectors and compulsive types who crave something to control and complete, and damn good looking to boot.
Ignoring price, which do people recommend between Devil May Cry 4 Refrain or either of the Hero of Sparta in terms of the action/combos? DMC4 is on sale now and I'm tempted to get it despite the complaints. I've always liked games like DMC/God of War/Ninja Gaiden, even though I suck at them.. =P Looks like Toucharade had fun with the game despite the negatives...

Devil May Cry 4 Refrain lacks enemy variety and is made too easy by unlimited continues. The plot is awkward in the mobile format. If unrealistic comparisons were made to the console release it might also seem short. However there are some cool boss fights and combo execution is fun. If you know limitations going in it's still an enjoyable romp well worth $0.99 for a spin; but it probably won't stay on your device for the long haul and is not in the league your refer to (GoW/Ninja Gaiden). I haven't played Hero of Sparta yet to compare the two.

Lol.. Yeah.. I have low expectations for the game (don't expect it to be remotely close to GoW/Ninja Gaiden/other console action games), and don't expect much from the plot or the length. I'm more interested in whether the action is fun.. I got Predators a long while back, and that story is forgettable, the combos are limited, repetitive, but the game was pretty fun... I never get tired of ripping people's bodies in half or the tearing the heads off of enemies... ;P lol.. If DMC4 is at least fun, I can overlook the other short comings...
