Hey guys. I'm a huge fan of the 2D sidescrolling RTS' like Crystal War and Castle War -- with Crystal War being my favourite. Any games similar to this? I would prefer only one playing lane rather than 4 like Legendary Wars as well. Cheers!
Cartoon Wars (not gunner). CW2 has castle defense plus the CW gunner elements. Army of Darkness Paladog! appears to be quite good as well: pocketgamer review Mech Defense is castle defense top-down style, so it technically has one lane of engagement.
The lite version is actually very complete, so not crippleware, BUT it is an older version of the game without the classes, latest skills recently added, new alternative game modes, and probably missing a few of the full game's latest special baddies. The dev said he plans to continuously support the lite version and that it will eventually get all of the above items but he is going to always intentionally have it at least a couple of steps back from the full game's latest content additions (so once the lite version has all of the above missing features, the players of the full game will be onto all sorts of new stuff).
Should I pick up NBA Jam HD now for 4.99? We all know it's going to drop to 0.99 as soon as the season ends... but it's oh-so-damn TEMPTING right now

Get Knighturn if you're into turn based strategy or strategy RPG games; it's on sale for $2.99 till 05/28/11 and highly recommended. This is the first game I got that I couldn't put down and easily one of the top games this year in my opinion. At first glance it seems graphically underwelming but the mechanics are solid and the art works well. Paladog! is a good side scrolling tower defense game; polished with a lot of content. Another under-appreciated hit this year.
Aralon, Dungeon Hunter 2, Zenonia 3 (scales out well), War of Eusrath, Galaxy on Fire 2 Chaos Rings Omega (if you really liked the first one) and FFIII, if you're willing to dish out for either of them. Into MMORPGs? Get Order & Chaos.
Sooo.. I haven't really been here for a week (just a few posts), since I was in England. Any new releases I might've missed? Also, is Chaos Rings Omega if I kind of liked the first one?
I depressed I just finish Modern Combat 2. I already beat both Novas. Now there seems to be nothing left to play. Is there any games that are even close to these to get?
Best campaign out of all of Gameloft's shooters imo. Nova 2 has the best multiplayer, so he could play that as well..which really is what Gameloft put the most work on, the online mode.
Yeah Rainbow six has a good campaign, but the multiplayer sucks IMO. Personally I like MC2 multiplayer better than nova 2.
I have an iPad and three of my kids have 4g Ipod touches. I'm looking for: 1) games we can play in the same room with each other, so our devices are connected 2) turn-based games that are fun with four players. I have Carcassone, but not all of them like it, and I haven't yet learned Battle for Wesnoth. Most of us are burned out on Uniwar. Thank you for your experience and insights!
